CURT custom wiring connectors are the easiest way to outfit your vehicle with a CURT trailer wiring connection. They are built with some of the most advanced technology in the industry, and each one is custom-fitted to work with a specific make and model. Some automotive manufacturers install a special socket on the vehicle to be used for vehicle-to-trailer wiring. Although this special socket is not equipped on every vehicle, a CURT custom wiring connector -- also called a T-connector -- utilizes the socket for simple, stress-free installation. Rather than requiring you to cut, splice and solder into your vehicle's wiring system, the custom wiring connector uses a single OEM-compatible plug and instantly provides a standard, universal vehicle-to-trailer wiring connection, typically in the form a 4-way flat. All CURT custom wiring connectors are made vehicle-specific for the easiest possible installation and the best fit. This particular plug-in connector provides a 4-way flat socket and is designed to be a custom wiring option for certain years of the Honda Pilot and Ridgeline (factory tow package required; to verify your vehicle compatibility, see application info). It comes with all necessary hardware to establish a solid connection. It also comes with a dust cover to keep the connector socket clean when not in use. To ensure long-lasting reliability, all CURT custom wiring connectors are thoroughly tested for optimal functionality. Stress is the last thing you should feel when towing a trailer -- whether you're hauling your RV to that favorite camping destination, your ATVs up to the hunting grounds or your fishing boat to the new hidden hotspot. At CURT, we think your towing equipment should add to the enjoyment of your experience, not detract from it.

need update for Ridgeline missing fuses and directions incomplete
While the it appears to be a good value and is not that bad to install. Directions need to be updated for Ridgeline 1. Picture of where to plug the Custom harness into behind the rear seat. You have to reach way up there and just feel for it to pull it down to expose it. 2. While I have the breaks/turn/hazard lights working the tail/running lights will not come on. It also appears that not all fuses needed are included . It’s looking like I will need to get 2 more 20A fuses to fill out the entire fuse box. Picture of the fuse box has all fuses installed but the kit does not include all the fuses required. Picture shows a yellow 20A fuse in position 3 but directions say to use a 10A Also picture from mfg website on directions shows all fuses installed. Yellow = 20A Red = 10A Brown = 7.5A I have a 2019 Ridgline RTL 2 Wheel drive (FWD). See the included pictures of fuse boxes One from Website of mfg and one from my 2019 Ridgeline Now I am going to get some more fuses and see if that fixes it to make it look just like the picture of the installation manual. From mfg website. Which is in color Includes Printed directions are in black and white I found this on a forum, looks like there is a wire harness problem from honda perhaps where Running lights will not come on . ----------- My 2017 Ridgeline Touring AWD has the the 7 pin trailer plug. Without the vehicle running and no park or headlights on, there is dc power on one terminal only of the truck connector. When the vehicle is running, my utility trailer (factory made) lighting works fine except for park lights. Re, the trailer.... brake lights, turn signals all work fine in conjunction with what the Vehicle is doing except: the park lights as well as license plate light do not energize when the vehicle's park or head lights are on. What I have done temporarily (until I figure it out) is connect that one dc supply on the factory installed 7 pin trailer connector, to the side marker lights and license plate to make them work. Ergo, the side lights of the trailer energize whenever I start the vehicle and connect the trailer harness, but only because I've connect those trailer side lights wire to that one constant dc power source in that connector. I'm not a newbie to electronics, dc lighting or mechanical. Being doing it for 40 years. Any body else notice this issue? Thanks John Interesting John. I just got to the bottom of my problem, which sounds like yours. (2017 Ridgeline RTS). My neighbor completely re-wired the livestock trailer and when we tested it yesterday, everything worked except the running lights (the lights that are on when the lights are on in the truck). We diagnosed the problem to be in the plug, since when we plugged the same wiring harness (7 to 4 also) into a different truck, all lights worked. My mechanic spent more than an hour this morning and finally fixed the problem. Two wires in the Honda plug (where I plug in my 7 to 4 wiring harness to the trailer), were apparently switched at the factory. He called Honda to get a new plug and was told that they are back-ordered. To fix the problem, he switched the 2 wires himself and now all the lights work, including the running lights (you could call them the tail lights, also). My guess is that my plug came defective from the factory in Alabama. Is that your guess also? My question is was there a recall on this problem? Was it all 2017 models? Thanks, Lee in Iowa

Are your running lights not working on your Honda Ridgeline with the Curt wire harness?
Everything was pretty simple with the kit except the instructions are a little bit off. I have a 2017 Honda Ridgeline front wheel drive vehicle. I installed per the instructions and my running lights on the trailer wouldn't work. These are the changes that should happen IMO. 1.) It says to route the 4 way connector to the trunk but no way is that possible on this vehicle. With the black wire protector it fits great kinda pinched between the plastic on the bottom near the hitch, that way it can easily slip out or stay up when not in use. 2.) VERY IMPORTANT!!! The instructions say use fuse 3 and 6, the diagram has an arrow pointing to fuse 7 (WHY???). I had to use fuse 6 and the fuse that went into 3, I placed in spot 9 and that got my running lights working. I'm not sure what fuse 3 is for but in my circumstance it wasn't needed.

Very easy to install
The instructions were perfect and easy to follow. The lights worked great without any issues. I installed them on a 2009 Honda Pilot.

Easy trailer wiring kit
Directions are accurate and install took 20 minutes. Harness worked perfectly. Only gripe if at all is the lack of mounting bracket for the flat 4 plug. I would have paid more if it was included

It did not work on my 2010 pilot
Installed it as directed, but it did not work. I then returned it and bought the tow ready T-one 118491 and it works.

The product was eventually made to work, but information ...
The product was eventually made to work, but information I found in another user's review proved to be crucial in getting it to. I think the manufacturer should have known that for the product to work, fuses had to be already in place in certain locations in the engine bay fuse box. This is a very specific use case product, 2017 Honda Ridgelines and earlier model Pilots. Updates and notifications should have been all over their website about this since getting printed instructions updated is not feasible.
