Not as accurate as you would think.

I don’t think it’s as accurate as others I had. I have a humidifier/thermometer only 4 feet away, and the RH on the Hygrometer is always less than on the actual humidifier. Makes me wonder?

Works great. Easy to read.

I hang my ukuleles on the wall and I was concerned that I was allowing them to be damaged by being in an environment that is too dry. I keep this Hygrometer by the ukuleles and know that they are safe in my home environment without keeping them in cases with individual humidifiers. If my humidity dips, I will see it. Now I know that my little musical investments are safe.

Spurious low humidity readings

Mine has a problem with spurious low humidity readings. If I leave it sitting next to a several other humidity meters I have in a room that ranges from 50-60% RH whenever I happen to check them they all are close. However if I wait a few hours and check the high/low history on them all the D'Addario unit will usually show a low of around 27% while all the others show that the room stayed in the 50-60% range. The D'Addario will agree with the others on the high. Also, the product information here on Amazon is wrong. It says it uses an AA battery. It actually uses a CR2032.

Great value for the money!

I’ve just bought my 2nd of these for my Taylor 910. I’m really impressed by how well they work! Easy to read. Easy to keep up with the information. Makes my acoustic guitars very happy!

Had to return mine ...

I purchased this "made in China" hygrometer for use with the same company's "Humidipak" guitar humidification system. Unfortunately, the one I received didn't show the correct temperature (it was 10 degrees off), and one of the buttons used to adjust settings on it didn't work, so I had to return it, and decided to try another brand/item instead. This is an attractive little gizmo, but when you think about it, if a hygrometer like this is going to be spending most of its life sitting inside a guitar case, why get one that tells you the time and date? I'm thinking the only "extras" that'd be useful in such a device would be, e.g., a memory function that shows "minimum" and "maximum" variances in relative humidity, and ability to clear the memory and start over each time you open the case to check the min/max readings. I'm assuming I just got one of the occasional lemons ... it happens ... no diss on D'Addario.

Keeps my guitar safe!

This works great if you have a guitar or any other wood instrument that needs to be kept at a constant relative humidity (RH)%). This allows me to open my guitar case and at a glance see if the RH is conducive with keeping my guitar in good shape and to avoid possible issues down the road in regards to cracks and glued joints coming undone. It also allows you to check the history to see if during travel it may have been stored in less than ideal conditions. A relatively inexpensive tool that can save you hundred if not thousands of dollars down the line.

Stopped working

It lasted 6 months. One day, stopped working. I replaced the battery, wont turn on again. Worked well when it did!

Works great, easy to use

I got this for my Taylor 214E DLX, because it's an investment and I want to protect it. The hygrometer does what I need it to do, easy to set up and to read, and the price is good. I'll be buying a second one for my workhorse guitar, an Ibanez Artwood mahogany dread.

Small, portable and light multifunctional device

The small footprint of the PW-HHTS allows you to easily transport and place the unit almost everywhere. Readings are displayed with clarity. If used every day, the battery should last for about 4 years! One of my best buys in a while!

Great hygrometer in a small package

This hygrometer’s small size allows me to put it in my guitar case so I can accurately measure relative humidity. It’s easy to program and use, too.

The battery died after only 1 month of use. Readings are about 4% off... It feels like there are better options on amazon for half the price.
