Hate needing these, love having them

I hate needing these. If I've bought DampRid, it means there's a leak in the apartment above mine. Or the car got flooded again. It never means anything good. But these work really, really well. They absorb damp in your closet like nobody's business. This particular "fresh scent" one smells awful coming out of the package (no idea why!) but the smell fades pretty quickly. It works just as well as any other DampRid product I've used (and I've used a few different types). If you're having mildew issues, have recently had a leak or a flood, or are simply worried about a musty smell somewhere in your home, DampRid is worth a try. You might be surprised (or even horrified) by how much water they suck up.

Fantastic product. Great for closets or damp basements!

Fantastic product! I have used Damp Rid hangars for years in my closets, damp basements, and humid storage rooms. They work great and cut down on mold growth without using electricity and requiring frequent pan emptying (from dehumidifiers). Affordable and each bag lasts me about 3 months. Then I just toss it in the trash. I have been using these for over a decade now and am very pleased with the results. If you have never used these before, your gonna love them. I highly recommend it. NOTE: this will not fix a mold or mildew issue that has never been eradicated. clean the mold and mildew away first, then use.

Makes a noticeable difference in my car

I live in the temperate rainforest (we get 40% more rain than Seattle). Many cars will grow mold, mildew, and even moss on the inside so most folks use these to prevent any damage. I’ve gotten the scented before as mistake and high suggest the non scented for anyone sensitive or picky to smells. The non scented works great in my car and doesn’t trigger migraines :)

Easy way to reduce humidity

I saw my mom had these in her home, and needed to be replaced as they were full. They are sealed so after hanging, the beads dissolve and the water drains to the bag at the bottom. They claim they should be good for 90 days, but they lasted longer than that in her house. I've used the DampRid canisters but this is simpler - just hang and throw away when the beads have dissolved and the bag is full. I'll be ordering more for my home, too.

Very Effective

My apartment has poor circulation so my room gets very stuffy. I keep a small humidifier running about 12 hours a day and an air purifier that goes for the other 12 hours. DampRid still managed to collect over a tablespoon of water (by my visual estimation) within 3 days. Additionally, I bought the fresh scent version as it was the cheapest. I'm very sensitive to fragrance and do not notice the scent. That is a positive for me but may be a negative for others. One thing I dislike is the hook. It is very thick to support the weight of the water, but because of that, it does not fit on my clothing rack. I am hanging it off a couple of hangers but I'm not sure what I will do when it gets heavier.

They always work!

I know that there are other off brands that are less expensive that have slightly different ingredients but I know these work so this is all I buy. Since one of my cars is out on the driveway now at the new residence, I hooked one to the back of one of the headrest just to see if it would get any water buildup in the pouch. Indeed it did with all of the rain and getting in and out when wet. ! I also put one in my laundry room, which is where the access door from the garage inside is and it also has a decent amount of water in the pouch! I need to buy more! I have bought the tubs for years and they never disappoint either.

Indispensable for homes near the water!

So thankful that a friend recommended this product for our coastal home. It effectively removes excess moisture from the air, so your home never smells musty. This product absorbs a shocking amount of moisture, so be prepared to replace these every couple of months.
