Great Replacement Part

Easy to install this direct replacement HOT water stem. Turns past 1/4 but not more than 1 and a quarter turns.

Check for loose bibb washer screw

DANCO valve is OK but thought it was defective after one week and eventually replaced it with another one - Genuine Central Brass. Upon removal I saw the bibb washer screw was very loose and this was creating the issue with pulsation. Check the screw before you install in the valve and make sure it's tight.

Right Product at the Right Time

Installed easily. Works Flawlessly. But, the other day, the nob wouldn't return completely, and didn't completely turn water off. Plus, There were thumping noises and knocking in the pipes. When I opened/removed the stem, the screw that holds the washer was loose. Corrected that and it's again all systems go.

Great product, but did not work out!????????????

Awesome stem for the kitchen sink, but didn't work out. Our sink in the kitchen is...WEIRD and so old-fashioned.

Easy to fix yourself

Fit perfectly and by replacing it myself I dodged the plumber who quoted the job at $650!

Order several - the lowest quality replacement part I've ever experienced

The factory stem lasted for over ten years. These Danco replacement stems (including the opposite 1C-7C) were drip-leaking - no exaggeration - within four weeks. They were completely unusable, as in no disruption in water flow and requiring shutting the water off to the sink, by the third month. It's a shame there's not a better readily available replacement stem for the Central Brass faucet. So, go ahead and have a couple on hand unless you're prepared to replace your Central Brass faucet entirely.
