No Allen wrench included

Davis Vuepro wind vane broke during a snow event last winter with only a piece of the plastic remaining. Ordered from Amazon rather than Davis due to free shipping. Item arrived in a few days but without the 1/16 Allen wrench needed to change out the broken one and add the new vane. Thus took more time to search for this and for the most part you have to buy several wrenches together to get this one! Just a hassle and time consuming as still yet to find the right wrench. Otherwise ok.

Working again with replacement vane ...

We have the Davis Vantage Vue mounted on the back of our Toyota RAV4 in mobile mode ... my husband is a meteorologist and former storm chaser. We lost the first wind vane at about 70 mph. This time we again made absolutely sure the vane is seated in the hole (the metal will be visible in a view hole opposite the screw). Also, after calling their tech support, we did add a few drops of Gorilla Glue, to handle the frequent higher wind loads during highway travel. $18 seems a bit high for a small hunk of plastic ...

fits and works just fine. My only objection is the price, these are way more expensive than they should be. But this is the cheapest one on the web so I took only one star off instead of more (due to the over all high price of these)

Great anemometer for non-meteorologists

This is a great anemometer for the price. Easy to install and maintain. Despite needing to change the battery every now and then, I would get another one if I needed another one.

Easy to replace!

It was very easy for me to replace the wind vane. All I had to do was take off the old one and slide this one on and use an allen wrench. I have had this product for a few months now and still is in perfect condition and works perfectly.
