Less is more

I recently purchased a house with a leaky old Peerless faucet in one bathroom, but products from 20 years ago are sooooo much sturdier and well-made compared to modern faucets that I opted for repair rather than replacement. The leak appeared to be coming from one of the internal cartridges, but I suspected that instead the problem arose from the "seats and springs" instead. And needless to say, replacing those is both easier and cheaper. And that was the fix. So if you have a similar leaking faucet, save yourself some money and try this simple fix. It's probably all you need, and absolutely does the trick. Plus it's a nice feeling to refurb those fine old products from days gone by, instead of joining the "toss it and replace it" crowd.

Orignal OEM parts

Be careful which faucet parts you order. The springs come in 2 different lengths. I needed the longer ones and therefore bought these. If you buy the shorter ones, the seals inside your faucet won't be tight and you might see leaks.

They work fine, but wear out quickly. I don't think they should have to be replaced yearly like mine do...

Stop the leak

If you've got a dripping faucet, chances are it's fixable by using this kit. Watching videos online will teach you how to replace the internal parts of your faucets. And once you've done one, you might as well do the other.

Buy the more complete kit

Installed these parts, and the faucet stopped leaking from the nozzle, but the handle started leaking with the disruption to the parts. I had to buy another kit, which included these parts, to fix the handle. In the end, this was redundant. The more complete kit (with replacement o-rings, and some other parts) was only about $5 more. Just buy the more complete kit and avoid my mistake.

Kitchen sink use the Delta brand only the off brands do not last ! I know I've already been down that road

Stopped the faucet from dripping.

I tried replacing the cartridge first but that did not stop the faucet from dripping. I decided to replace the spring and rubber seats with these parts and it did the job.
