Very sharp bit
This bit is very sharp and so far has stayed that way. I've only used it to drill about fifty holes in a huge cedar stump so far and it's still as sharp as when I started. I have lots of plans for this bit and I can tell it's quality will hold up. I'm happy with it and would recommend it to anyone.

good tool
I bought this for use in the bush and it works great. It takes a lot of strength to turn this, but no more than I was expecting. I have not had to shapren it yet so I can't say how long the edge will last, but I expect it to do well.

YUGE !!! might break regular drill chucks
After drilling 10 holes in a oak tree stump, this beast of a bit broke my my cordless hammer drill. I was bracing the drill with my leg so it wouldn't rip out of my hands. Suggestion if you are drilling into treee stumps, use something more reasonable, like a 1/2 inch rather than this beastly 1.25". it gets stuck prett quick and the reverse counter clockwise direction in the drill is not as strong as the forwrd clockwise, so I'd constantly have pull out the 24" breaker bar with deep impact 7/16 socket. IF you need that crazy leverage, to twist out the bit from the tree stump, then you are putting way too much force on the drill. Clear out the bit often and use a smaller bit. As for the 1.25" bit itself, it's a beast !!! Probably consider using a 3/4 drill instead ...

BEAST!!!!! Outstanding Value
I make Swiss fires out of log round with these...depending on the specie of tree - tends to go through wood like butter...can be a bit hefty as it bites pretty hard/deep...so watch those wrists when you fire up your drill.

Awesome
Used to drill out my catalytic converter on my 21 street glide. Now it sounds better no heat buildup and saved 799 for headers. Easy job
