Dakota Door Spring.
I used this spring on my 99 Dodge Dakota it worked fine. Pretty hard to install without proper tools and could have been slightly shorter in length. I am a pretty good mechanical guy so I was able to install it and make it work.

It never got put in due to I could not get the other piece I needed to put In door i have looked fore the roller pin if the roller pin is bent hang it up

Good fit for 95 S10
I recently bought a 95 S10 and the drivers door was missing the spring. Not a big deal, but the door fully opening every time did get annoying so I bought this replacement door spring. Initially it looked too long, but it ended up working perfectly. Don't have to worry about dinging the car next to me anymore or smacking the wall in the garage. The spring is stiff and you do have to compress it quite a bit to get it to fit, so you'll definitely want a door spring tool, like the Performance Tool W84603, to install the spring.

So nice to have a functional door detent again!
Super stiff, holds the door open even on steep inclines. Heavy duty cable ties and a small vice made for a smooth installation
