This Dremel is WAY Better Than I Imagined It Would Be

I have a corded Dremel 4400, so am already familiar with the Dremel company & product. I wanted a cordless rotary tool. I looked at all the available rotary tools, including all of Dremel's competitors, and after reviewing specifications and reading many reviews, this 8250 appeared to be the best one for the price. On paper, it is lighter, has more power, more battery life, & more features, than competing products in this price range. Wow, was I right. This model 8250 blows me away. It is in a different league altogether than my corded 4400. It is whisper quiet. It doesn't vibrate AT ALL. It has plenty of power and revs willingly and readily all the way up to its maximum speed. It holds its speed well when in use. It doesn't get hot. It has a built-in stand. It has lights indicating speed and remaining battery. Because it is slightly bulkier than my corded model, I had feared it would be too heavy with its battery. It is not too heavy. It is a joy to use and feels good in my hand. The one negative is the included case. My corded model came with a hard-shell case, which I use and love. The flimsy case this 8250 comes with is near useless. Overall, out of the dozens of things I might buy in a month, I am extremely happy with this purchase.

They have improved it from previous versions. Outstanding.

I had a previous version of this kit, but this new one is three times more powerful. It cuts, polishes, grinds ans sands with ease. I used a stainless steel brush to remove some scratches off of some titanium and they came right off. I then polished it and it came out looking better than new. Also, the new twist lock allows super easy switching of accessories. I can highly recommend this Dremel 8250 kit. You won't be disappointed. It really is a great tool.

Favorite tool in my garage

This tool is so versatile and perfect. I own like 3 of these and have a pretty large selection of accessories. From a drill press to routing handles to a plainer. This is my go to tool.

Very good battery operated tool

I use this Dremel in my hobbies. I didn't think I would like a battery operated Dremel but this 8250 has surprised me. It is now the one I use the most.

quiet, powerful brushless motor, battery is a little small runs out pretty quick during heavy application like cutting and grinding, if you just use for sanding it's okay, do consider getting a spare battery
