Good light; lousy packaging...
The lamp itself works fine. In fact, it works well enough that I'm using it even though it was totally beat up--shade dented and bent--during shipping. It was in the middle of Christmas shipping season, and I didn't have the energy to box it up and send it back. The lamp still worked and I needed the light, so I decided to keep it despite it being trashed. Lots of reflection so a low wattage bulb suffices to spread the light well. It has a solid and heavy base so it won't tip. Remarkably, it's a good enough light that it still works even though whoever shipped it screwed up so much that I should have sent it back. Good light; lousy packaging.

Good exam-style rolling gooseneck lamp
Exactly what I wanted for my massage & bodywork business for offering chromatherapy services. It assembled very easily right out of the box. Just cross the two rolling wheel bars, screw the two poles together, thread the screw through the bottom bars into the pole and you're set. I lucked out and didn't need pliers, but you may or may not need them. The cord could be a little longer seeing as the version I bought has wheels, but I'm willing to use an extension cord. The on/off switch is a turn knob near the light hood. Bulbs are screwed in sideways. Works and rolls around great! May purchase a second one down the line.

My husband is a tattoo artist and bought this for work to replace the old lamp he has had for years. He said that it's sturdy (stays in place, doesn't move around) the goose neck is very flexible, doesn't droop after adjusting and the length of the cord is perfect.

I like it but not as a task light
It is fine for a room light, but the ventilation holes at the top mean that anyone dealing with glare problems can not use this as a task light because all those little beams of light will make focus impossible. They do help illuminate a room at night, though, and it makes a good plant light. Do note when purchasing that the chrome one has a flat base while the dull one has wheels. The neck is not very long so do not expect it to be an equivalent replacement for a Giraffe medical light.

Great light for the garage
Bought this for my husband so that he would have better light and could move it around when he worked on his old car. He absolutely LOVES IT! I've almost never seen him more happy with a gift. Only down side is that now Amazon tries to suggest all this medical crap to buy when this purchase had nothing to do with a medical need at all. It was a garage necessity!

Works well for my application. I gave it 5 stars because it was so reasonably priced you cant complain about it. I didn't have to pay hundreds of dollars. I am not using it in a doctors office nor would I. Just as extra light source in my garage so it does the job perfectly.

Portable lamp

Good for the price.
The lamp arrived fast enough and in good condition. The only problem was the putting the lamp together-I needed a handiman to screw the parts in. After the instalation it works fine. I would recommend it, but you may need a handiman! Peter.

Fast delivery and easy to mount
Fast delivery and easy to mount. The quality of the lamp is limited though, having a lower content of metal from previous models which makes it less solid, a squeaky goose neck and the absence of a proper knob to adjust the height of the lamp, but a squeaky sliding hinge instead.
