Damaged brake handle
Damaged brake handle. Just too much trouble to return this big item for an ill 84 year old who is wheelchair bound

ETA- got brakes in a good spot. Tricky tho
ETA EDIT: Finally got the brakes to work. Not ideal, but. Much better. Bought this chair since it was similar to a regular chair; my mom doesn’t do well with new and differently shaped chairs, and we wanted something she’d feel comfortable using. The chair itself seems like it’ll be fine for just showers. But if you don’t want to/can’t replace brakes, don’t purchase. Also, the assembly instructions are adequate, but super vague. Trial and error on the wheels.

For long term use this is the one!
No comparison between this chair and the cheap one we were using. If you are going to need one every day for long-term care it's worth it to spend the extra dollars and get the extra features: it's well made with sturdy construction, rolls easily on hard or soft surfaces, all wheels can be locked in place, arms can be moved up and out of the way for easier transfers, the footrests are removable, the split front seat is easier for male use, bucket slides out of the way for use over a toilet. The seat is not necessarily soft, but it's definitely not as hard as the seat on a regular toilet. Overall this toilet has made our lives as caregivers a little easier and we've had no complaints from the person who has to use it!

Will not fit over a standard commode.
Could not use because it will not back up over my standard commode.

Buy this chair and make your life better
We've used this chair every day for months and it has made my 91 year old Mother's live much easier. Our bathroom has a elevated height toilet and the chair fits perfectly above the toilet with the toilet seat up. This feature means we are not emptying the included waste pan, just flush the toilet. The chair is used in the curb-less shower and the quality paint finish shows no signs of rust or corrosion. It still looks brand new. The swivel wheels make for easy turning in tight spaces and lock tightly. The arms are the widest part of the chair and their rubber-like cushioning protect walls and doorways. My Mother is small so we did remove the leg supports and added a belt. I highly recommend this chair, it is designed and built well. I now find myself looking to "Drive Medical" when shopping for medical equipment.

Less than a year, the wheels stop steering.
Well made, easy to steer, sturdy, but the front seat cut-out gap is too big. My mother's leg got caught in between the gap. Less than a year, the wheels stop steering. Difficult to steer it to the direction you want to move. Each caster with leg cost $98.29 cents to replace. 4 of them is going to cost almost $400.00. I have to change it from a 5 stars to a 2 stars.

Absolutely wonderful!
Oh, my goodness! This is a real godsend! It is lightweight, easy to maneuver, comfortable, and fits over any height toilet reducing the cost of having to replace a toilet. Its a breeze to get into even a small modified roll-in shower. I bought one not only for my disabled adult son, but also for my elderly cousin. Both are extremely satisfied and highly recommend this Shower/Commode Mobile wheelchair.

Worst purchase ever!
Buying this chair was the worst Amazon experience I've ever had. I bought it from Medical Department Stores and it arrived with the box damaged, and the product as well, due to it not being packaged properly. The A to Z guarantee was a horrible process that took months with no help from Amazon customer service. Call backs I was promised never happened and I had an email that the reps didn't know where it came from telling me that in 3 to 10 days someone from an unnamed carrier would need to come into my home to pick up the package and send it to be reviewed for damage. Luckily I was home when UPS showed up without notice that day. But having a stranger have to inspect an item like this is degrading. The seller did not communicate with me but once and it was a very rude tone with no apologies for this bad experience. And Amazon's customer service reps had no clue how handle the A to Z claim that Amazon boasts about! The chair itself was cheap material, hard to put together, and the seat/back were extremely uncomfortable. The foot rests were made for someone shorter than I and I'm 5'3.

Faulty wheels/braking system
I have included photos of the wheels. The pins that are supposed to keep the brake functional is pulling out as seen in one photo. This causes the brake to catch on one side of the wheel only. Two of the wheels are effected so far. When I contacted you just a few days ago, Only one brake was effected. Shortly after that, two wheels are now not locking properly. This is a very big concern as the chair moves when my elderly mother is getting up or down creating a risk for falls. I have only two wheels that the brakes are functioning appropriately. Very concerning as I read all the reviews and this one was the preferred chair by many and that is why I chose this chair. I believe you have sent me one replacement wheel but I will need at least 2. I’m afraid that all 4 will end up this way.

Wonderful shower/commode chair, awesome product.
This is an wonderful product, my mom loves it. Really great investment for those who need help. This is an excellent price also. I priced this item at medical supplies stores it is $980.00-$1200.00. I'm really pleased that this shower chair/ commode is so easy to assemble. Love that the legs have adjustable height levels. This also fits in really tight space. It's easy so to push and move around. I Highly recommend this product.

Great chair. Solid chair where you can adjust the height and both arm wrests easily lift up for transferring. Is a big deal when transferring my son from his bed to a commode. Big wheel and moves easily. Happy with $330 Purchase.
