Nice Product, but too Large
Returned item due to it being too large for the application. It is a nice enclosure but unless you have a good deal of space to install, recommend a smaller enclosure or flush mount.

Looks Good, however...
I like how it looks, however 1 time out of 4 times, the door won't open by just pressing the button as it should. I've got to use my other hand to open it up as I press the button.

Decent but not waterproof
- looks good and easy to use. But it is described as waterproof and it is not. The plastic face is filled inside with heavy condensation even after a somewhat light rain. I have to leave it open for it to dry. Would likely be fine if in a protected area but in an exposed area I would only use it for true marine electronics that can withstand being subjected to moisture. Plenty deep and roomy enough - I used it to house my marine stereo that has an external SXM receiver added on...both fit the box with wires nicely. The marine stereo is fine but the moisture got to the Sirius XM receiver and killed it in 2 weeks time. The box has 2 round outlets in the back to receive wiring, both with acceptable rubber gaskets, they are about 1/2" diameter each. I ran speaker wires in one and power, remote and satellite antenna in the 2nd. This filled both holes..1st Hole Was barely able accommodate my single pair of very heavy duty speaker wires, will have to drill for more access if I decide to use a 2nd set of speaker..but if using standard speaker wires it should work out ok.. So plenty of room on the inside for electronics & wires but limited/tight area for wire entry into the back of the box...and definitely not waterproof...it is more like a splash guard.

Better than other splashguards I have seen.
I love that the door opens all the way, almost 180 degrees, out of the way. Several of the other waterproof covers don't open all the way. Also, the plastic cover is very, very clear, I like that, looks more like acrylic than plastic. I like that when it's open, I can see right through the plastic door, no tint, I can see what's underneath, in my case, I have buttons that I need to be able to see. Also, there is a soft grommet the clear plastic pushes against when closed forming a water-tight seal. You do have to cut a slightly bigger hole in the dash, the radio sleeve installs thru this unit. BUT, the hole is not much bigger that a standard DIN radio, maybe an 1/8th of an inch. Some of the radio covers where the cover disappears by rolling back over the top of the radio require a much bigger hole. THE PICTURES JUST SHOW IT IN PLACE, IT IS NOT INSTALLED YET, just held in place to see what it would look like. I like the way it looks!! It will move back about a 1/4 inch and be more flush once installed. The white DIN frame on my radio was loose too, so that will not be sticking out. but you'll get the idea. I will try to post a picture once it's fully installed.

Tricky Installing
I learned that you have to tape up all the wires in a bundle to get it through the back and they should have made a "X" cut in the rubber water protection guards on the back to put the wires and antenna through it. I took them both off and ran the wires, then reinstalled them to the back of the housing unit which was easy enough. You will need to cut an "X" in both the rubber backings. Not sure how weatherproof it is as it is parked in the garage all the time.. I will find out if it ever stops raining here when I take it out on the bay. Plus I added a section of memory foam to keep the radio from jumping around since there is no way to fasten it to the inside of the housing.

So far, so good...
I just installed this in the cuddy cabin of my boat. Because it is out of the weather I discarded the rubber plugs in the back, but if it had been mounted outside they would have come in handy. The radio fit perfectly into the case (too perfectly. It was a struggle to get the radio back out after I put it in to test the fit.) and I was able to flip the case in the mounting bracket. There was plenty of room in the rear of the case to fold the excess wiring into, and the cover has a wide, flat (about a 1/16" thick) rubber gasket to help prevent water leaking in. The gasket may need some adhesive to keep in in place in the future. If I was mounting the unit on the outside I'm not sure how well it would hold up, but for my needs, it is perfect.
