Impressive cookware

Great stainless steel pot!

Love this pot! It’s become my “go to” pot for soups, tadka dahl, etc. It sautés all of the initial base items of any saucey dish so well, i.e., onion, garlic, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, etc. The lid has the small hole to allow steam to exit, this is ideal to avoid any liquid boiling over. It’s great! Very well made. Heats evenly and consistently. Easy to clean. I use it several times a week.

It's a pot that works with induction cooking

It is larger than I expected, and I expected...large. It takes a bit longer for my induction stove to heat this one up because it is slightly too big for the stove, but I've been watching carefully and it hasn't damaged the stove at all. It's clutch for any recipes called for a lot of pasta; I use this thing at least once a week, often more. It does have some spots at the bottom of the pot already, after ~two months of use. I'm not mean to my pots, but I do clean them well after each use and this could just be the result.

Somewhat disappointed in performance on Duxtop induction

At the same time I bought this 8.6 qt. pot I bought a Duxtop P-961LS portable induction cooktop, expecting top performance between the two. Two things surprised me: (1) when I did a how-fast-to-rolling-boil test of 3 L of water comparing this pot with my Cuisinart 5.4 qt. pan, both of course on the Duxtop cooktop, the Duxtop required 2 minutes longer than the Cuisinart (14 for the Duxtop, 12 for the Cuisinart). About 1/2" difference in pot diameter. So, I've giving it 4 stars. (2) When I received my Duxtop pot, it appeared to have been a returned item or display or something because it was not in its own box (just "loose" in an Amazon box with my other order), sealed in shrink-wrap with the only paperwork being a "how to care for stainless steel" card and then inside an open bubble-wrap envelope with a UPC code stuck to it. No product labeling at all. The pot has no obvious marks indicating prior use but I've never received anything new in such DYI-appearing packaging. Just sayin.

It’s a pot. It pots.

We purchased this when we moved to a new home and were waiting for our more expensive pots to arrive. This pot does the job fairly well in a pinch. The lid doesn’t fit tightly, so steam escapes from everywhere, not just from the steam vent on the lid. But it boils pasta and cooks eggs just fine. As long as you don’t expect Le Creuset results from this pot, you won’t be too disappointed.

Great size

This pot is the perfect size for a larger batch of soup. Purchased it for my induction stove and it works perfectly. As an added bonus it appears to be well made and aesthetically pleasing. I appreciate the steam vent in the glass lid and it cleans up beautifully. It's a great addition to my induction cookware.

Es de muy buena calidad, el material es grueso y cumple lo que promete, aunque a pesar de que tuve en cuenta las medidas, creo que viene reducida, pero es muy linda ????
