PRODUCT DESCRIPTION The Eagle Type I galvanized steel safety can with funnel is used to store, transport, and dispense flammable liquids safely and comes with a funnel to facilitate filling and pouring. The can is made of 24-gauge galvanized steel, which is resistant to rust, dents, and certain chemicals. Gauge is a measure of thickness (the lower the gauge, the thicker the material). The powder-coated finish resists scratches, chipping, fading, and other wear. A flame arrestor helps prevent liquids inside the can from igniting and keep flames from spreading. The spout cap self-closes to help prevent leaks or spills. The cap assembly opens automatically to vent internal vapors. A trilingual safety warning label alerts users to the can's contents. The funnel is made of HDPE (high-density polyethylene), which is resistant to dents, punctures, and certain chemicals. This safety can may be available in different colors (blue for kerosene, green for oil or other combustibles, red for gasoline, or yellow for diesel) to separate, store, and identify different liquids. This product is FM Approved as a safety can used for handling flammable liquids in quantities of 5 gallons or less. It complies with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Standard 1910.106 for the safe storage and handling of flammable liquids. Update to “Do Not Buy This Gas Can From Amazon”

My original review is below. The update is that the seller (I assume it was the seller as I have not received an email response informing me I would be receiving a replacement) shipped me a replacement gas can. So even though you can’t return it, they will replace it if it is defective which I am good with as I wanted something better then a plastic gas can. This gas can is better then a plastic gas can. When the cap seals properly, you can travel with it and not experience leaking of gas or vapor. If you buy this gas can from Amazon you cannot return it, period. Even if you haven’t actually stored gas in it. I bought one and filled it with gas. Then discovered the cap doesn’t seal tight. Per Amazon instructions, I contacted the manufacturer directly but there has been no response in 2 weeks. The can holds gas but you can’t travel with it.

It's a simple(-ish) gas can!

The government has screwed up gas cans with all the safety rules and regulations they now have to adhere to, which makes most modern gas cans leaky, complicated affairs. This isn't that - it's a can, with a simple handle to open the nozzle, and a built-in funnel. The funnel is harder to get on and off than I would like, although it seems to be loosening up with use. Other than that one minor quibble, it's a simple can that holds and pours gas. It's a gas can. That works. You'll be happy with it!

Will last a long time

I had been using a plastic diesel can for a few years and noticed the top was cracked and split from wide temperature changes where I live. I ordered this because of the funnel and the fact that it’s metal. Good quality fuel can. I will also be ordering some for the gasoline I keep on hand. It’s a bit pricey, but quality usually is.

A gas can that's actually easy to use, made in USA

We all have tried to use those new EPA approved spouts that cause you to spill half your gas while struggling to fill your mower. Environmentally friendly my behind. This can with the attached funnel solves this problem. If you need a gas can, get this one.

No spills

Simple, a little pricey but very effective. Does not spit at you like all the garbage plastic cans out there. Does not leak or dribble. I have filled seadoo on the water, lawn tractor and a car not a drop lost and none on me.

Good product!

I was skeptical how good the fuel can was built (considering the price), but I am fully satisfied as soon as I felt the can. Very happy with my purchase and unlike all of my plastic cans, this one doesn't leak at the seams!

Best gas can for home use - filling lawnmowers and other toys...

It is so nice to have an easy valve to dispense the fuel... Could use this to fill a car tank as well... I hate the plastic cans from W-Mart/H-Depot - so hard to use...

Vastly better than plastic cans

First good gas can I've ever used, and I tried several before. It doesn't leak. It's easy to fill and easy to pour. It stays upright and doesn't fall over. Its closure is really simple, unlike the "leak-proof" plastic cans which just get jammed. It's also not much more expensive. I found it thanks to the Project Farm youtube channel gas can comparison, this one clearly stood out as the cheapest one that was worth a damn

UPDATE: July 12, 2019 I saw this was being offered again and at a slightly lower price so I jumped on it one more time. Upon arrival, the canister was dented in different places. These are small dents and doesn't appear to have been from shipping as the box was fine. It appears to be manufacturing quality issue and I am highly disappointed at how this cannot be put together perfectly from the factory given the expensive price. I initially requested a replacement this time, but now have second thoughts on receiving a third item dented in yet another place. So I just cancelled the replacement and requested a refund. Looking elsewhere from another manufacturer. ----- ORIGINAL REVIEW Could have been better packaged and handled. Arrived with a glaring big dent and a small one. Metal handle had two rust areas that was unpainted or paint had chipped. Handle to open the canister spout is plastic. Returned.

A Great Gas Can For Your car trunk

This can is metal and has a safety valve to prevent the can from exploding. I had a plastic can explode in my car trunk and that is dangerous.. This gas can is compelely safe. Another Great Product From Amazon.

Bought two and one has a slow leak

I purchased 2 for what seemed like a reasonable price. After several months I noticed one is weeping fuel from the bottom seam. Of course this is after the return window. I don’t recommend unless you like a 50:50 chance of getting a good one.

Great can, but problematic surface paint

This is a great can, and the built in funnel is awesome! The only reason it's not five stars, is the paint finish, particularly at the bottom where it sits on the ground, is unreliably fragile. I suspect it won't cause a long-term problem as long as I don't leave the can sitting in water, but the paint has peeled from the bottom already and exposed the metal underneath. If this was resolved, this would be a 5-star review.

Excelente producto. El embudo funciona perfectamente. No se evapora el combustible. La forma del depósito impide que se voltee, lo cual es excelente. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.
