The serrated tooth design easily pounds into the ground with a hammer or mallet, requiring minimal ground preparation. The straight edge border is made of flexible recycled plastic and is durable enough to withstand temperature changes. Use the recycled plastic edging with landscape fabric to keep flower beds clean. Quickly and easily install Pound-In Landscape Edging: clear and moisten the soil along the edge of the landscaping, pound the edging into the soil with a rubber mallet so that 1-2 inches of the edging is visible above ground, and stake the ends of the border. Particularly rocky soil may cause difficulties, in which case moistening the soil or using a spade to create a small trench in the soil may shift the rocks to make installation easier. Easy to install.

I had a bought 6 of these. Quick and easy, had a few places where I had to dig only because there were rocks in the way. Stakes in place very good. And looks great at corners. It's flexible so I was able to bend it on corners. Was able to do my whole yard in just a few hrs.

So easy to install around landscaping! Recommend put it it after rain when the ground is a little softer to position it exactly how you want! We’ve bought it three times!

Anclaje

Pensé que el anclaje sería más fácil cuando lo compré. Yo misma lo instalé en mi jardín, pero me demoré un poco en entender que los “dientes” del borde no se meten solos en la tierra con golpes, aunque la tierra esté mojada y de fácil manejo. Lo único que ancla el borde son las estacas, por eso es esencial comprar bastante estacas para anclaje en todo el largo del borde. Otro tema fue el tamaño, me imaginava que sería un poco más grande pero es muy pequeño, ya compré otro más para finalizar lo que necesito. A pesar de ello, el método de anclaje es mucho más sencillo de lo que el borde tradicional dónde es necesario abrir la tierra para crear el camino.

Order Extra Stakes Use Rubber Malle

Read the instructions! Definitely order extra stakes one for every 30-36 inches. Lay the edging down and place weighted objects on it to flatten for 24 hours. Use a rubber mallet to hammer stakes.A steel hammer will brake them on the 3rd or 4th blow. I used a hack saw to cut to proper lengths.

Works great, but save yourself some grief by laying it out flat for a day or two before installing

So far, so good. It has been in the ground for about a month. It comes out of the box in a tightly wound coil. It would be great for circular beds, but needed it for a straight 20' line. Since I needed it straight, I laid it out flat with weights on the end, and in the middle for two hot days. That solved the issue. My flower bed was full of rocks, so not the easiest install, but no fault of the product. I cannot speak to the ability to hammer it in since I had to predig, and backfill thanks to all the rocks of a previous homeowner. I like it enough, I am about to order another 20ft for another area. it only comes with two anchor stakes, and I am currently not using any of them. If you want it super secure, you may want to order some additional stakes.

Will need extra stakes

It takes a while in the sun to warm the edging and to straighten it. You will need a good rubber mallet or hammer to get the edges to become secure in the ground. If the stakes are hard to drive into the ground use a little water to loosen the soil. I ordered 3 boxes. One box came without stakes and one had no instructions. Two stakes is not nearly enough to secure the edging. Will need 6-8 stakes for each length of edging.
