Neat little steamer

I received it yesterday and used it tonight. I steamed some carrots for dinner - the instructions recommended 15 minutes, but I feel like 20 would have been better; they came out a little more al dente than I like. I'll adjust the cook times to my liking. I'm really looking forward to eating more vegetables. This unit takes up little counter space, but has a decent capacity to steam enough vegetables for two or three servings.

Small, Perfect, Delicious!

We live in a small apartment and don’t have a lot of storage or counter space to have large appliances. This steamer is perfect for one or two people and easily stores in a drawer or cupboard. It’s easy to clean (which was important to us) and has enabled us to eat more steamed veggies!

Lid

Out of package I was disappointed to find that the lid didn’t fit at all. I decided to try out the steamer anyway. Steaming must have done something because now the lid fits perfectly after the first use. I made hard boiled eggs which turned out perfect. Then some sweet potatoes. I’m already thinking about all the things I can use it for. Artichokes, warming up tamales… Very easy to use which is perfect for everyone in my household.

Perfect for a single person

I used this product to steam vegetables for my dinner. I was actually able to steam 2 potatoes, some summer squash and some broccoli. The parts can be put in a dishwasher (not the bottom). The only negative was the manual- didn’t have a lot of recipes.
