One of my favorite Enchantimals
This is one of my favorite new releases! I have every Enchantimals doll and playset, including all of the new ones (except for two of my pre-orders that haven't arrived yet), and this cat doll is one of my favorites. One of my favorite details on this new doll is that the hair and cat pet are a deep purple color. The hair is also partially black. The face is well-painted. The knees are not articulated. The shoulders are ball joints that turn in all directions. The hip joints allow each leg to move front-to-back, and she sits well without the weird V-shape that some dolls get when they sit. Her neck is also articulated, but only with side-to-side movement, not all-around movement like the shoulders. The ears are a softer, more flexible plastic than most Enchantimals dolls' ears. The painted-on swimsuit is solid teal; the front of the top is painted with a teal and white plaid design and bow. The skirt is made of the usual Enchantimals thin fabric with a unique printed design, this time with a teal and white plaid pattern background with yellow, purple, and pink flowers and yarn balls. The shoe color doesn't seem to match the rest of the doll, in it's coral-pink color that nearly matches the pink of the painted-on shirt bow and skirt details, but the design of the cat-claw boots is suitable. The pet cat is almost perfect. As I said previously, I like the deep purple color. The cat has a little tuft of purple hair. The pet is made of hard plastic, and the tail is a more rubbery plastic. The bottom of the cat has a tiny hole for use with Enchantimals playsets that have pegs to hold the animals onto chairs or other accessories. What ruins the pet is the big gaping hole in its back, where the cat's purple exterior distorts into a claw-shaped clip. The intent of Mattel in putting these creepy holes and clips on the pets is that the doll can "hold" the pet. The first problem with this idea is that it doesn't look at all like the doll is holding the animal; it looks like the doll is levitating in front of the doll's arm -- in theory. In reality, the pet swings forward and hangs down so it looks like the doll is carrying a purse made out of the taxidermied skin of the pet. This is the biggest issue that Mattel needs to fix. The first generation of Enchantimals had no hole and clip; there was no need to ruin the pets by adding the clips. With the green eyes and deep purple hair, the doll looks like she'd make a cool Halloween doll. I'd pre-ordered this one (thank goodness, because it's already sold out), and as soon as it's back in stock I plan to order a second one so I can custom-paint her shirt and shoes and sew a new skirt to make her into a Halloween doll. I've been wishing that Mattel would make Halloween-themed Enchantimals, but they haven't, so I'll make my own. Now if I only they'd make a bat doll and a spider doll that I can customize for Halloween!

Enchanting doll, who is girl& cat.
My 9 yr old granddaughter’s birthday is the day after Christmas. this was a very different gift for her- she loved loves this little doll and her cat. She has been creating all kinds of several pictures of this doll & her kitten playmate. I helped her video some of their adventures as she created different scenarios for them like taking them to the beach. They swam in the bathroom sink & “soaked in the sun” as they floated on a sponge. She really likes this cute doll and her kitten - Her are some pictures of them getting into her box cookies.

Not for small children- has parts they can choke on
At the time of me writing this I wish I had glued the cat tail as well as the ear- because it is now missing. This is a small doll with small parts I bought for my 4 year old daughter who loves the Enchantimals cartoon. The small parts come out easy so I suggest parents glue them like I did. We did not purposely remove the ear or tail- they came out when my daughter was lightly playing with them- not rough housing at all.
