Perfect for older homes with thick wires

The house I just moved into used thicker than normal 12 guage wiring. That is good but you can't use regular receptacles because the wires won't fit. This heavy duty outlet is perfect and the heavy wires fit fine. I then bought a bunch to replace the old discolored outlets.

Hmmm......

This came like it was taken off something, thrown in a plastic bag and sent to me. It also smelled like it was burnt. I didn't install it because I didn't trust it not to catch fire. I could be wrong tho, but why take the chance.
