Underrated mechanical alarm clock
I used to have this and a bulova before they both stopped working, and bought the equity again because of the low price. They both have 3.7/5 stars, so you could say they're rivals in the modern mechanical alarm clock world. But the equity has more pros than the Bulova. the Bulova: -ticks like an antique westclox alarm(big ben) -costs a little more than the equity -lost alarm gear strength within 5 months -only hit one alarm bell -had poor accuracy, 6 minutes fast or slow, which is the standard now I guess -rang for 17 seconds The equity: -ticks softer than the Bulova, but still louder than a quartz alarm, it has a tick you could meditate to -costs half the price of the Bulova, which gives it the biggest advantage -lost alarm gear strength after 10 months -hits BOTH alarm bells, which also gives it a bigger advantage -not sure about accuracy, hasn't been 24 hours yet -rang for 15 seconds Overall, I like the equity more, it seems a little better than the Bulova, it's probably the best modern wind-up alarm clock in my opinion, but it still doesn't compare to an antique, or even a westclox from the 1960s. It meets modern standards, but not pre-quartz Era standards.

Takes Less Than 30 Seconds to Understand How To Use
This item was surprisingly hard for me to find online than I thought. It has all the features I wanted: windup (NO BATTERIES), no lights, audio-able ticking (the main feature I wanted), and glow in the dark arms and hour dots. The product shots did not depict glowing in the dark features, but I am glad it did. It is the same clock that I once had many years ago (back when I did not know how to take of things). Delivery was quick (very much appreciated) and I recommend this item. Final note, if you notice that your clock is either too fast or too slow, there is a regulator in the back-bottom-center to address this issue. Mine had been slightly slow, so I put it in the positive direction. It has been accurate ever since.

Can't keep time
Can't keep time over 12 hr period. Tried adjusting. It is for looks only.

Alarm doesn't work
The alarm doesn't work. The hammer very lightly taps one bell once and only makes one very soft click. Also, the glow-in-the-dark dots at each number don't glow in the dark. I think the clock keeps time, but I never wound it to figure out if that's why it currently has the wrong time.

As Time Goes By
I like this Twinbell Alarm Clock very much.It has clean, classic, old fashioned lines, and fits in with the decor in my bedroom. It is easy to read from a distance. I could not find this type except on Amazon, and appreciate being able to puchase it here.

Equity by LaCrosse 13012 Twinbell Alarm Clock
My 83-year-old friend asked me to buy this type alarm clock for her. She could not find one she liked anywhere and she desperately needed it. When I took this to her she was overjoyed and thought it cost much more than it did. She was pleasantly surprised at the price I paid for it and it works well and is quite attractive. This is a good purchase.
