Same brand & model I had, so grateful!

This is great for me to be able to find when the one I had ~10yr beeps meant replace it. (Part to hold it already in place able to use.) Batteries are included! Easy to use & easy to change batteries when scheduled/needed. I prefer to replace batteries when time changes twice yearly to avoid unnecessary alerts. Voice & beeps are annoying enough to make me want to get away & out when check it; my cat immediately exits via pet door to backyard. This one specifies replace in 7yrs, old one specified by alert & instructions. I apologize: I don't know about using locking feature. Cost as expected, & if this one lasts the 7yrs, it's well worth it for me. This one is in a small dim hallway, on the ceiling. Thank you!

Replacement alarm.

I used this alarm to replace my old alarm. I like that the alarm fit the base of my old first alert alarm (same model number). I don't like that the battery life is only five years.

Your basic Smoke / CO2 detector

This is your basic Smoke / CO2 detector that you can't go wrong with. At a minimum, mount the base using 2 screws, put the battery in, and you're done. The previous one which was about 10 years old had started chirping periodically. A quick look at the online manual said that 5 chirps mean the sensor is old and needs to be replaced. I bought this which seemed to be an exact model of the older one, which was. It fit the old base so no drilling was needed. It also has a feature that you can program into it the location of it, using a few built-in locations such as kitchen , bedroom, utility room, etc. So when the alarm goes off, it tells you the location. The buzzer is super loud, which is great. Overall, detector, trusted name, easy to use, been around for ever so finding documentation / help is easy.

This product works for both SMOKE and CARBON MONOXIDE. My little ones unplug everything so this will make that impossible.
