Great set

Having a larger mat makes large cutting projects so much easier! The ruler is a nice companion to my smaller 3-12" for handling all sizes of cuts. The rotary cutter is a lifesaver and so easy to use. The initial blade wore out a bit quicker than I expected (after 2-weeks of heavy usage on fabrics) and didn't come with a replacement so I had to pick some of those up to swap out. This rotary design works wonderfully for both right handers and lefties like me without having to reconfigure it. Just need to keep an eye on the bolt that it stays tight - which is consistent with most left-handed screw threading direction issues.

Hard to cut over the fold in the mat

The cutting board comes with a fold to make it easy to store, but every time I roll the rotary cutter over the fold, there are one or two threads that don't cut, so I have to cut again. I end up avoiding the fold, which makes the mat only half the workable surface area I'd hoped it would be.

Definitely A Great Buy!

This is definitely a great buy! I like how this item was sold as a combo so I didn't have to do extra research to find the 3 pieces that I was looking for. The quality is superior and the value for the money is definitely worth the purchase. The mat comes in inches so if you like using the imperial version of measurement best, then this an absolute must! The mat is double-sided so it's almost like getting two mats for the price of one! The cutter is simple to use and very nice to handle, even if you have arthritis, gripping is made easy. There is a button on the cutter to cover the blade when not in use, providing great protection against accidental cuts! The ruler is very large and the acrylic makes reading the numbers super easy and clear. I highly recommend this item and I will definitely buy again for myself, or as a gift! Thank you Fiskars for an amazing item!

Versatility and simplicity in operation . Meet my expectation. Good value.

Gradual learning to use scrap fabric. Eg. Turning old jeans into a beautiful skirt as well as acquiring patchwork skills. I love Fiskars for the opportunity to use all measurements in centimeters, as well as clear directions regarding angles. Generally, is well designed for any level of competence as well as the skills. Great quality for a great price

Loved the size fits well on my desk so I can craft, thick and easy to measure/ cut on it. The cutter is very sharp and cuts smooth, the ruler is big, it makes cutting fabric a breeze. Can’t beat the price, I couldn’t buy the mat alone in my area for that price. Shipping was quick too! Excellent overall.

DO NOT HESITATE TO BUY THIS PRODUCT

Although I’ve been sewing for 42 of my 46 years, I’ve only recently begun to make quilts. Knowing the importance of precision, I was terrified to cut the pieces! I saw this set and bought it, and I highly encourage you to do the same! The board is big but surprisingly solid, the cutting guide ruler is ideal for the board and the rotary blade tool is the best I’ve ever used. It comes with a handy little safety switch but unlike the rotary blade tools I’ve bought, you don’t have to hold the inner handle or apply any grip to expose the blade. Just a little click and the safety flips back into the handle; easily done with a thumb. The board and guide ruler are covered in measurements for inches and 30, 45 and 90 degree angles. Centimetres are marked out in little dots. Both sides of the board are marked and have awesome little squares marked out in 6 different sizes to check your quilting blocks, from 4 to 12 inches. The board is self healing and I tend to be heavy handed but there’s not a mark on it. I’m very happy with this purchase!
