Works well but not for small batches

I was thinking of holiday turkey when I bought this. It's great for that. I don't mind that the glass is delicate. That prevents me doing something stupid, like trying to pour right out of the roaster. Unfortunately, it's useless for small amounts. I recently made braised duck legs. I trimmed the fat well, but there was still plenty in the juice. Relative to a holiday turkey, however, there wasn't much juice! Too much of it was below the top of the exit spout. I ended up having to pour the fat, with a little sauce, out as if it were a measuring cup, then hand skim the rest. I'm going to try one of those bottom release versions for the small batches.

Good Gravy

This separator is light weight and appears very fragile although it is tempered glass. If you are careful, it should last for many years. Don't bang into things with it and you will be OK. I suggest washing in the dishwasher so you don't have to handle it more than necessary. It is not an item you use every day but so far, we are very pleased with the quality. The perforated silicone top is great for straining large pieces when you pour your gravy into the separator that may otherwise clog up in the spout.

Good Gravy

I sent this to my daughter and she loves it. It works very well and separates better than ones she has used in the past. She worries that the spout will break easily because the glass is very thin in that area. It is to be used with caution and stored carefully.

Works Great 90% of the time...

The strainer part is great is catches all the meat/veggies/etc. that would otherwise have to be fished out. But sometimes the 2 layers get mixed in the spout, i find it helpful to plug up the spout when pouring it in.. Separates the fat great...

Looks great. Performs great but takes a lot of time to clean

Awesome separator and works great. Looks stylish too. Which never hurts. Clean up is a bit of a pain and you’ll need a small bottle cleaner to clean out the neck. Bottle cleaner not included

I wanted a glass gravy separator, and this one is great. Easy clean up, easy to read measurements and a storage lid to boot, just incase you need to save it till later.

A good product.

This is not plastic! It is a grease separator that hold 4 cups of boiling hot liquid and has easy to read measurements.

Pretty but fragile!

Glass is too thin! Too pricey for a litre of measuring cup and old fashion design for skimming fat! It looks too fragile for the granite countertop and daily usage but plastic container was not my choice neither!
