Extra long bits can vibrate at the rated speed
Though the package rates the bit at 24,000 rpm (less than 1" diameter), there was significant vibration - likely due to the 2" length (run-out in the router / bit is magnified in the longer bits). Just slow it down, mine ran fine at half-speed (~12,000 rpm), take your time and take smaller bites, and you will be pleased with the performance. I would have given it a 5-star rating if they included the suggestion to reduce RPM to eliminate vibration.

Lots of vibration
Needed a 2 inch deep cut so bought the tall version. This tool is very unbalanced and the router in the shop where I work has no speed adjustment.. Too much vibration to use it. Probably a good tool for a beefy industrial router with speed control. Don't buy it for any router without a speed control. One might question why a tool advertised for high feed rates need to run at low rpm.

This is a very good router bit!
This is a good router bit. I never had a single flute bit before and found that the cut was very smooth and easy. There was a bit of vibration, probably caused by the single cutting edge but, overall, I am well pleased with the performance. Also, the price was very reasonable for a 1/2" bit. The bit was made in Italy and sold by a respected company, Freud. Good buy.

Not 1/4" in diameter.
The blade was 0.012" less than a 1/4". This is not what you want in a blade when making box joint corners! I would not buy this again.
