Don’t ask me how, but this works!

When I get overheated, I wrap one of these (moistened) around my head and it makes me comfortable again in minutes. When I wear one around my neck and heart region, I can stay out in the garden longer. So far, the garden dirt has washed off the fabric easily. I like the long scarf-type style with the loop for wearing options. I bought two and am pleased.

It feels cool and seemed to help

My daughter gets overheated fairly easily while playing sports. I got this for her to use while she's on the bench. She thinks it helps and it feels cool to the touch.

Not cool enough for Midwest heat & humidity

I'd hoped this would help a bit for summer workouts, but this doesn't stay cool for very long. I'm sure some of that has to do with being in a humid place—this may work a lot better if the heat is dry. I can't speak to that. I have taken to using it during resting sets by wrapping it around an ice pack while I'm lifting, then putting it on my neck while I'm resting, which keeps it a bit colder for a little longer than just the recommended water.

Cooling towel

I got the FROGG TOGGS Chilly Pad Pro Sport Microfiber Instant Cooling Towel in Pink. This towel can be machine washed and laid flat to dry, which seems to work well. This towel is super simple to use. Wet, wring, wear. I used it at an amusement park and draped it around my neck. I did take it off on coasters and only wore it for walking around. It provided an excellent cooling effect that made me much more comfortable. The material helped keep it from being too drippy. I did have to wet it more often than every two hours, but it wasn't a big deal. It definitely helped, and every bit counted in the heat. The small size of this one makes it well-suited to kids.

Works great & durable!

I work in an open-air farm stand. There's a roof but the front & back are entirely open so the hot summer (& now spring & fall) sun means it is HOT in the stand. I tried the Frogg Toggs chilly pad hoping it would be a simple effective way to stay cool.... and it is! You soak the towel in water, wring out the excess, and wrap it around your neck. There's a loop to hang it by when you don't need it but I thread the other end through the loop to hold it in place since I'm actively moving around. It takes about 2 hours or so for the water to evaporate so I only need to 'recharge' it a few times each day. It's also great to spay a bit of bug spray on to keep the mosquitoes & such away without putting chemicals (or natural oils) on my skin directly. It washes well & seems very well made so I'm sure it will be something I'll have for a while. I own two Frogg Toggs chilly towels, one in gray & one in bright pink so I always have one to wear while the other is being washed. At $12.99 I would definitely recommend them if you're outside on hot days with a regular water source handy.

The Best Cool Down Towel

I use this towel for yoga and the gym. The absorption is the best in the west. I highly recommended this towel for workout cool downs and beach activities. In other words any activity that makes you sweat. Buy more than one. You will need it. Trust me.
