Perfect replacement

Perfect replacement, and it only took about 10 minutes to change the element

Works well. But...

Got this to replace our burner for our stove top and it fits great, works well and now we have a working burner. But what I've noticed is that this one heats up slower than our original. Not sure what that is. Also as I look at the heating elements this one seems to be sparser than the original as well. Not sure if other than heating up slower, there is any other side effects. But like I said. It works.

Good replacement part for cooktop

This is an easily installed replacement for a dead burner. I recommend you watch a youtube video if you are not certain of how to install. A word of caution -- Every site I looked at to identify the right burner used the GE website as the source to identify the right part. The GE schematic for my cooktop has the front two Parts. Be sure to buy the part by diameter size. the 8 and 12 inch burners are incorrectly identified by GE. Measure your burner and buy the one that is the same diameter you want to replace.

OEM direct replacement

Take a pic of the wiring to make sure you get the connections right when you replace the heating element. Went right in without any issues. OEM part is worth the extra $. UNPLUG YOUR STOVE BEFORE SERVICING!!!

Broke Exactly 1 Year After Purchase

I ordered this burner replacement on November 6th of 2021. Today is November 3rd of 2022 and the burner has stopped working. The outermost ring has burned out and no longer heats. I called GE to discuss a potential replacement since it’s out of the Amazon warranty. GE claims that this is NOT an actual GE part and it’s fraudulent. I explained that it’s sold by Amazon themselves and not some unknown third party seller AND that the item came in GE packaging. GE customer service rep says the packaging is fraudulent too. I don’t believe him for a second but either way, he said they can’t do anything for us and that the part is $175 to order directly from GE. That’s about 20% of the cost of the entire stove all just to replace one burner. Absolutely ridiculous all around. Order one small part for 20% or throw out the stove to a landfill and get a new one for the cost benefit. That’s what’s wrong with appliances these days. More cost effective to buy an entire stove than to replace one burner. Ridiculous.

I can get parts for an existing appliance

I do not like the fact that to replace an element on the stove, costs 1/4 of the price of the stove when bought new. This stove is only eight years old. Appliances used to last for many years,but not now. There is one plus, the part was the same as the one replaced.

Direct replacement, works well

This was a direct replacement for our failed element. I haven't noticed the difference using this one to the original. Replacing the element was much cheaper than buying a new stove.
