Good Pin Vise, Drill Bits Not Included.

CAUTION: This pin vise does NOT come with the drill bits shown in the picture. You only get the pin vise and extra collet that is shown. Drill bits not included. Other than the deceptive photo, the pin vise is well constructed. As noted in another review the end cap is attached really tight and unless you are really strong will need to pry it off.

Not the very highest quality, but it has what I was looking for, and after a few uses it seems it should last several years of light use. That's a guess, but it's as least as good as the previous version I used for several years and would still be using if someone hadn't 'disappeared' one of the collets.

Less than i HOPED

I purchased this on some online recommendations. It has a nice design, a good grip and I especially like the swivel on the top to make drilling easier. Where this unit fails is in the colletts that are included. These are critical as they determine what size bit you can hold. No where could I find a descriptor of what sizes these colletts would accept. Once I openend the package I could see the size of the openings on the colletts varied, two of them looked very large. Further testing shows that they handle very few small size drill bits. I had hoped to use a 2-56 tap and found there was not a collette to securely hold that size. I plan to return the item and look at Starrett brand pin vise. If you are looking for a vise that will handle small size bits, that is those in the .085 size, it would be best to look elsewhere.

Terrible quality

This is the worst made tool I've seen in a long time. The collets are badly asymmetrical, and the threads on the part that holds the collet are so shallow that I can just pull it right off without twisting. I'm returning it.

Great for cleaning carbs

I use this pin vise to clean carburetor jets and other small holes. Works great, beats having to use my fingertips to try to turn those small drills.

Right size and holds the bits tight

I tried several other manufacturer's pin vises and they all were either too small or couldn't tighten down enough to hold the bit well. This one is much better.
