Love them but…

I got the first set for my wedding a year ago, opened them just a couple weeks ago and loved them so much that bought a second set. Before getting the second one I read some not so nice reviews but went ahead with it. Love the feel and the color. But be aware… using knives on them will scratch or leave marks as seen in my pictures. I also noticed some other weird marks and when reaching out to the company they said hearing certain foods could cause that (?). So, apart from that. Love them

Hairline scratches?!

Our first use, after washing, I did not pay much attention but after eating a fried egg off it, there were vein looking scratches. I looked at the other plates and they were fine. We then used different plates, payed closer attention to the plate before and after use and it suddenly had hairline scratches. I’m I sure if it’s the heat of the food melting the paint or actually scratched. Either way I’ll be returning. The plates are beautiful and sturdy, wash great in dishwasher. But am concerned about the seal.

They Look Better In the Pictures

They serve their purpose, I can eat off of the plates and eat from the bowls. The set does not look as good in real life. The color is more dark grey than black and the set is extremely heavy.

Okay so I got these plates in today and have a few comments. So first, of the smaller plates two of ours have blue specks rather than black. I looked through the photos and saw no plates with blue specks, so that was a surprise and should be advertised in the future. I’m still happy with them and it fits with our look but I was surprised. Our bowls also have a little blue strip which I also didn’t see in the advertised photos. They seem good quality, but the bottom is unsealed so if you have textural issues that may bug you. The bottom is also very ugly. It’s a tan color whereas the rest of the plate is glazed black. Overall for close to $100 I’d expect these things to be taken care of. But overall I’m fine with them.

Too heavy.

These plates are nice but way to heavy. Not what I expected. They chip pretty easy as well.

Quality dish set. I didn’t realize it had a light blue stripe of color on the outer design. However I really love the shape. Dishwasher safe! Haven’t noticed any chipping so far.

Love These Dishes!

I bought two of these sets to give me eight place settings. They are as advertised. They are heavy, though, which I like. The pattern is beautiful and they fit in my dishwasher perfectly. The dinner plate is fully flat and has lip at the edge - keeps gravies on the plate without pooling in the middle like other plate designs do. There are two bowl sizes that work well for a small side salad and another for a big bowl of ice cream! When I received the sets, there was one dinner plate that had a chip in it. Return was handled perfectly and was very easy to do - no hassle at all... a company with honour! For the quality, the price is VERY reasonable. I recommend this product and vendor without reservation.

Easily chipped

My sisters and I all ordered this product. While I have not had any issues yet, both of them have experienced chipping of the edges of a plate while under normal use. One reported that the bottom of a plate stained after contact with a red sauce. I suspect that it is due to the hardiness of the firing of the product. I love the shape, colour and lightness of the items. So far I’m pleased with my sets but you should be aware extra care might be needed when handling.

Ordered a second set

We got this as a wedding gift when we first married and loved this set, it is a bit on the heavier side but has lasted so far without any chips or breaks — they do get scratch marks from cutlery if you press hard with the cutlery but that can be buffed/cleaned out if you google how. Ended up buying a second set because we needed more than four sets and loved them so much.
