Great for the right application
First off... find another container to use, the giant vat they send this in will be difficult to carry around a table or to messy to just dip your hand into. The massage cream is good and natural and rubs in nice but doesnt feel to natural until you start rubbing it in. Its thick and cold at first and takes a minute to start working into the skin nicely. overall a good value but they should sell a small application bottle/tube to use.

Very nice lotion..but a lot of it!!
Okay, I have to admit first that I was paying more attention to the ingredients and descriptions than I was the amount, so completely my fault I received a GALLON jug of lotion!! However, nearly everyone in this family suffers from either weather-related, systematic or generalized dry skin; so this product seemed to be custom-made for this family. Okay, so maybe now I realize why it's labelled "massage cream". I can see it used for several massages a day; but tonight it was used (with rave reviews) for psoriasis + eczema + just simply "my hands are always so dry" + cracking feet (ugh). Highest critique of lotion for me is be thick enough not to feel watery, not leave greasy residue, contain natural oils, not smell all 'perfumery', make my skin feel 'nourished'. Succeeded all around. Later, after each family member bathed/showered, the jug sitting on the kitchen counter was visited by all. Unless we open a massage parlor, we'll start saving/cleaning screw-top jars for everyone's room.

Hydrating hypoallergenic cream
The cream itself is absolutely wonderful- 5 stars. Sometimes hypoallergenic and mindful ingredient products don’t do the job, but this cream spreads easily, absorbs quickly, and effectively hydrated the skin. My hands were dry cracking and after just two applications they are supple and intact. There is a light pleasant odor. 100% recommend the cream. I took off one star because the large tub did not have a safety seal at the top.

A tad greasy and not deeply moisturizing.
So I ordered the massage cream rather than the oil because I was really wanting to avoid a greasy massage. Well, this cream does indeed start off quite greasy. Eventually the greasiness rubs in, but after that…the skin is not overly moisturized. It just feels like any other generic lotion. I was hoping for a bit more of an intense moisture after my massage. I’m currently using this cream with an automatic shiatsu body massager. It pairs well with the device and makes the massage more comfortable. As far as the hypoallergenic formula goes, I have very sensitive/reactive skin and I experienced no irritation whatsoever. The cream smells like an oil initially when being massaged around, but once it rubs in completely…it is undetectable. Overall, I really like this massage cream because it does improve the massage experience. I just wish it was a less greasy and a more moisturizing formula.

Clean, comfortable product that really did deliver glide, workability and absorption
Clean. The first thing I look at when choosing a massage cream is what ingredients will I be rubbing on my own or my client’s skin. According to the ingredient list and label, this is a clean, vegan product. It felt clean on the skin. The primary oil used was sweet almond oil with a smaller amount of olive oil. The cream had no fragrance and seemed like a great choice for mixing with essential oils to create customized options. Comfortable. I was curious to try a product that promised to deliver the combined benefits of cream, oil, and lotion. I found that it went on light and creamy, delivered an oil-like residual smoothness and was well-absorbed. If I was using this product on a client for Swedish massage, I would probably mix in a bit more oil, but that would depend on the type of massage as well as individual preference. It would be a great product to use on its own for moisturizing as it left my skin feeling both comfortable and clean. I haven’t previously used any products made by this company so didn’t bring any existing brand associations. When I looked at the Ginger Lily Farms Amazon store, I saw that they offered many interesting-looking spa products with high ratings. That immediately made me feel more comfortable with the brand, that the information provided on the label was reliable. With a full gallon of product, this seems like a good value. The bottle I received has a wide mouth top but wasn’t shipped with a pump cap, so I will buy one separately.

Good quality, great value!
I do wound care, and most of my patients are over the age of 70, and once you hit that age, wounds happen constantly from the knee down, and the elbow down because the skin is so fragile. Most of these wounds happen because their skin is not moisturized. I’ll start by saying, you would not use this as a moisturizer, it is meant as a massage cream, and it takes a long time to absorb. Which is exactly what you want in the massage cream. It has a beautiful, thick and rich consistency, no real discernible odor that I could pick up on. The slip factor is luxurious and it is absolutely perfect for massage. It would also be the perfect cream to apply after a shower when your skin is hydrated as it would create a barrier effect and avoid trans epidermal water loss. it has some Arnica and some chamomile in it and I could actually feel a reaction on my skin but I wouldn’t call it warmth. It was pleasant. I like that I can add my own essential oils and customize it to my patients. This huge jar… An entire gallon, is a great value for this quality cream. I’m very pleased with it.
