Good tool for new golfer

The guide works best on putts of 6-8 feet unless your stimping over a 10 or so. My putter is a Cleveland brand with standard lie and length. Works best as an aid to groove your putting motion and learn to swing through the putt. My son who is new to golf likes it because his putting needed some help, so great for starter.

Awesome putting alignment training tool

This is a great tool to use to help learn to square your putter and body to the hole. There is an option to use the track itself, use the guides without the track or even trace lines onto the green itself. Set-up is so important in putting and this set allows you to verify that you are aligned properly.

Golf game is finally improving

I know hitting the driving range would be more fun, but I needed to fix my putting stroke. This thing is making a huge impact, especially on the short ones!!

Versatile Training & Putting Device

The GoSports alignment stencil & gate were ordered for use in practicing my putting. This device is similar in method to inserting 2 tees in the ground through which the putter is routed in order to keep the putterhead straight during the putt. However, it is much more versatile since the alignment guides are several inches long, and the putterhead must be kept straight through those guides. The aluminum stencil plate can also be held securely on top of the ground with tees. I liked this aspect since I could aim the plate toward a hole or area and there would be no movement by the plate. The guides are moveable and can be adjusted to the size / width of the putter. The guides can also be held in place with tees that are inserted in the ground. There are several different practice drills that can be used with this kit, and I found these to be effective for both distance and path of the putt. The plate has several slits in it which can be used with a chalk pencil to draw the plate diagram on the green. Then, a couple of tees or the guides can be inserted in the green. This method can be used so that the plate need not be used. The one aspect of this training aid that I did not like was having to put a ball into a little hole in the plate in order to begin a stroke. It a ball is not in the hole, the ball will roll around on the plate. BOTTOM LINE: I found this putting alignment aid to be a decided "plus" for using as a practice device. It certainly helped align a putt so that with practice one develops a feel for hitting a straight or curved putt. At its price point, it is a good buy, and I would order again again. Just wish it came with a chalk pencil.
