Excellent inner pot, decent features otherwise

The main reason to purchase this rice cooker is the high-quality inner pot, which features a nonstick coating free of fluorocarbons (PTFE/PFAS/etc). The pot is truly excellent and easy to clean. We use this rice cooker upwards of five times per week, mostly to cook rice but also to heat up soup or cook oats. The induction heating means that everything cooks quite quickly, convenient if you are trying to get dinner on the table in a hurry. You can also use the steamer basket on top of the rice to transform your rice dish into more of a complete meal (e.g., by steaming vegetables and tempeh). The most frustrating part of the cooker is perhaps the poor instructions in the manual, some of which are just incorrect. For example, the manual recommends using the quinoa setting for steaming and says that the timer can be adjusted to 10 minutes, but the true lower limit is 20 minutes. The settings for brown rice also require a bit of optimization of the amount of water added to get the right consistency. A few final things to keep in mind: this is advertised as an 8-cup rice cooker, which means it can prepare four "cups" of uncooked white rice. For some reason, the standard "cup" size for most rice cookers (regardless of brand) is 160 ml (about 3/4 cup). So, in reality, you can prepare about 2.7 cups of uncooked white rice and about 2 cups of uncooked brown rice (you have to add more water for brown rice). The inner lid is made of aluminum, so don't buy this rice cooker if that is something you are looking to avoid.

8 cups, maybe after cooked

I think this rice cooker works really well, and the non stick coating is SO COOL. It’s SOOO SPARKLY! It’s mesmerizing, haha! I haven’t really had this very long because it took a while to get to me, certainly not prime speed. In the 4-5 times I’ve used it I haven’t had issues with any sticking. The basin comes clean great too. I have made brown rice and white rice. Brown rice automatically cooks for 50 minutes by default (doesn’t seem 30% faster to me.) I always use the rice package’s recommended water, or maybe a little bit less. (I have had improved texture for brown rice doing it this way in rice cookers in general.) No where in the pictures does it say 8 cups cooked rice capacity (it does specify in the written item description though) so I thought this would be bigger. Personally, I think this size is just fine for myself and the two other people that live with me. I don’t really like the buttons on this or the menu. Button pressing takes a second to register as it seems to be based off contact and not pressure. You have to cycle through every menu option, instead of directly choosing the setting you want. Once you figure it out it’s not a big deal, and the perk is that water can’t get under anything or into any cracks. It makes it easy to clean. It’s still a little annoying though having to cycle all the way around again if I accidentally touched the button too long. The inside top of the rice cooker isn’t much different than other rice cookers. It’s not really any worse or easier to clean. I took a star off because my basin has a small pit in it. I suspect that over time the pit is going to cause the overall durability of the basin to degrade. There are a lot of rice cookers out there to compete with this at a $200 price point. My $20 rice cooker cooks rice at the same consistency, but the basin in those types loose their non-stick consistency quickly. I thought by choosing something more expensive I could get a better basin. Hopefully, this isn’t a regular issue and mine is just a small overlooked fluke. I like how this cooks and I hope that the pit in mine doesn’t cause a quick deterioration. Overall, I’m happy with this rice cooker and appreciate the opportunity to try it out. I would get another one if I ever needed to, but I would thoroughly inspect the bowl for any defects immediately.

Very Easy to Clean.

We are impressed with this Rice Cooker. Works extremely well and is super easy to Clean. The Soup function is also very nice. Even cooking without any mess.

Everything works perfectly except for the buttons

I love this rice cooker. It cooks everything perfectly and am glad to be avoiding toxins. However, the buttons are sometimes really hard to use. Overall a great product though.

The ceramic bowl is supreme

Easy to use, easy to clean, a much healthier option than most other brands that use a non-stick coating. The settings are simple, just cycle to what you will be making, hold start or you can delay your start for whatever reason. Would recommend for anyone who is cooking for themselves or a small family and would like to stay away from nonstick without losing the benefits of it.

Easy to use and clean

The pot is made of safe elements (no harmful plastics, etc.) and is easy to clean. It cooks quickly, and I love that you can cook or steam almost anything. I mainly cook rice in this, which has made my dinner prep time much more effortless and carefree. It is easy to clean as well, which is an added bonus. I have been using this for over two months and enjoy using it. It's an excellent addition to my cooking routine, which I am trying to make as carefree yet nutritious as possible.
