Comfortable Rolling!

I've been using it for a month now. THE PROS: 1. Truly lightweight, my husband (the pusher) is so relieved with how it handles from his perspective, he says it even pushes easier on carpet. 2. Size is perfect for eating at a restaurant table or doing projects 3. Leg paddle releases are easy to handle. 4. Two sets of brakes, one set for pusher and one set for sitter 5. Leg paddles are a good height, they don't stick out too far that your feet bang into things 6. Has an outside pocket on back, fairly large 7. Sturdy, I weigh 185 and it handles well with my weight. 8. Tires do not leave "skid" marks (not that I go that fast!) 9. Easy to fold and lift into car 10. Sits a little higher than my transport chair, I use a memory foam cushion for added height THE CONS: 1. Welding spots on wheel grip are a bit rough 2. Need fingerless gloves to self propel as my digits catch on the spoke frame. 3. Leg paddles are too close together, barely enough room to lift leg between them to place on paddle. 4. Would like an inside pocket on the side panels, reachable We are delighted with this chair...and are hoping it lasts a loooong time!

perfect chair for my mom who is 4'8"

My mother has a bad back and is short . She loves this chair as her feet touch the floor and the seat allows her to sit for a long time without her feet hanging. She was slouching is the normal wheel chairs to touch the floor which made her back hurt more. The aids love the weight and height of the handles to push her. My Husband & I love it as it is easy to put in and out of the car to take her with us for family dinners. Wish I had bought this for her a long time ago.

Great lightweight folding wheelchair.

I looked at a number of wheelchair options before purchasing this one. I even rented a wheelchair prior to purchase and discovered many things to like and not like about wheelchairs. The Hi-Fortune wheelchair is lightweight and folds compactly making it easy to transport. It has several standout features that set it above most, but it is compact and not built for a large person. Features that standout are the operator brakes which also function as wheel locks, the folding back which reduces the height when folded, the swing away foot rests, something hospital staff commented on and appreciated and the light weight. There is one possible improvement that I would suggest and that it would help if there was a stop to prevent the swing away foot rests from touching the wheels when swung all the way back. I would not hesitate to recommend this chair as it is serving us well.

Well-Built Lightweight Chair

This is a new-user review. I'll amend it with more experience. I bought this chair because I cannot put my Medicare-provided 42-pounder in the car's trunk by myself. I can do so with this one. I am pleased with the quality of the welds and overall construction. I am also pleased that it came with the anti-tip bars, a cushion set, and pusher brakes. All-in-all, value for the money, even if more expensive. On the negative side, the tires do not grab well on smooth flooring. The manual brakes need adjustment: they're hard to set. I plan to use this chair for travel. I'm hopeful it will meet my needs. FOLLOW-ON Jan 24. After a couple weeks use, the core problem with this chair emerges: the push ring around the rear wheels is way too slippery. If you're self-propelling this chair you will have a difficult time, especially on any sort of grade. I've also learned that the seat is at least 3" too low for an adult male: a cushion's needed. The chair still meets my needs, but I have to do something about the push ring. An after-market slip-on ring cover is $90. Hmmm.

It comes assembled!

You simply unfold it and voila you have a wheelchair. A few accessories needed to be added that came with it. So easy to maneuver and so lightweight. An excellent choice.

Less Weight Is Great

Being 80 years old, the heavier wheel chair that my husband had used for nearly two years, was becoming a burden for me to be able to assist him. But, WOW, this chair is lighter and easier for me to navigate from behind. I find that the extra hand brakes at the rear are useful and the seat is a good fit for him, too. I can load it into our van by myself! Both patients and doctors have given us great comments on our choice. One drawback is the lower seat height. We added an extra (medical grade) 3-inch cushion and it has not presented a tip-over hazard.
