Easy to install and connected to my Break Buddy

Does not fit the Brake Buddy Vantage Select

I ordered this for my Brake Buddy Vantage Select. The one I received from the seller has 2 separate wires to plug into the Brake Buddy. The Brake Buddy Vantage Select requires the Single plug to go into the Brake Buddy. Now I have to pay way more to get the correct unit tomorrow due to I am leaving town and need this now.

Install with care.

Installed in a 2013 Ford Focus. It was a little time consuming because the front engine compartment is completely enclosed, from the bottom by plastic air dam, and it was difficult to route the wire through to the cabin. I also have one on my jeep wrangler and that was a piece of cake to install. If your not mechanically inclined please take it to a professional to install it. Just a note, some mechanic will not drill a hole through the firewall on newer car models.

Brake Buddy break away on Blue ox base plate

Just what I needed for my older Brake Buddy system on a new toad. Bolted to base plate after base plate installation by dealer. Not many options for a secure installation with today's plastic cars

It works

The product probably deserves 5 stars but it is simply a device that makes or breaks a circuit. Yes, it is simple and thankfully lacks anything exciting. It works as intended and, for emergency braking a towed vehicle, the last thing anyone wants is excitement.

Mine is an older Brakebuddy and have 2 plug in and not the connection this one has. If we still had a Radio Shack I most likly could get the plug in. I am trying to sell my Brakebuddy but need the the brack away first. I can not use as it is now.
