Not worth the money

Not a bad product, but for $50, was expecting...I don't know...more? More comfort, more warmth, more something. I think for everyday use this is overkill. Possible, with backpacking or more prolonged/extreme use, these could have benefit. Will update later if so. So far I can't find anything better than my basic UA techs.

Comfort and warmth.

Garment could be thicker to advantage. As a 84 year old I have found benefit from wearing two pairs to bed at night. The added pleasure of warmth without weight is very significant.

Uncomfortable for longer hikes

Contrary to similar products from Arc'teryx and Smartwool, these become really uncomfortable on longer hikes. Cannot recommend them

Nothing beats wool

Years ago I converted to wool socks and now added underwear. I also purchase icebreaker tshirts which in my opinion are the best for hot days. Very happy with purchase. Follow the cleaning instructions.

So far, so good.

To be fair, I just got these so I can’t comment on durability, yet. Aside from that, I already love these boxers. I picked them up for winter backpacking, and I can already tell that these are distinctly warmer than any of my synthetic boxers, and pretty much as comfortable. There’s just the slightest scratchiness, but after a wash or two and some wear, I’m sure it’ll soften out more. As it stands as new, wool underwear...it’s already surprisingly comfortable. I took the advice of other reviewers and ordered a size larger. They are absolutely correct. I’m 5’10” and 175lbs. I usually wear a medium. These are a large and fit great.

Flimsy stitching

Merino wool is a miraculous material generally, and it's particularly perfectly for underwear. Icebreaker have long been leaders in producing merino base layers. However, the quality of stitching on these pairs is not acceptable at all (see picture). This is after maybe 3 wears total.
