Better than original but tricky
The replacement hinges were used for an old igloo cooler. The problem is that the holes in the plastic easily strip and it is difficult to find ways to fill the holes so that the screws will hold. The replacement hinges are far better than the original but it will take patience and thinking outside the box to install the hinges securely.

Great buy
These hinges are significantly better than what Igloo used to start with. I wish these came in white like the majority of coolers. It's not a big deal as it's only a cooler. Strongly recommend these hinges if you need to replace existing ones.

Big Improvement Over the Original Plastic Hinges
The original hinges were just sheets of plastic. They eventually sheared off, and never really secured the lid of a full cooler. Theses hinges are much sturdier and fix the lid in the closure channel where it belongs. An upgrade that will make my cooler last for many years to come as I take good care of them. It was worth the extra few dollars for the added robustness.

Finally a quiet durable hinge on an igloo cooler!
The biggest benefit was not having the annoying creaking when opening the cooler. Plus good to have metal parts in the part for durability.

Igloo 24045 Hybrid Hinges, Black
This is the hinge that should have been on your new Igloo cooler when you bought it. The original factory hinge (and latch for that matter) is designed to fail, not designed to give you years of reliable service. This item is an actual hinge much more robust construction than the original folding piece of plastic Igloo thinks is a “hinge”.

a CA Black Bear had some fun and drank all my soda
Get these now, you will need them. I don't think it would take what happened to my Igloo to rip the OEM hinges up, they are not very rugged. So how did my hinges bust?....... Left outside overnight, full of water and soda, a CA Black Bear had some fun and drank all my soda, she wasn't real careful opening the chest, and busted it up. There were crushed soda cans all over the camp site.

Fit Perfectly
These replacement hinges fit my ancient Igloo 50 eskie perfectly. Nice that the kit included a complete set of new stainless screws. This is a quick and easy job.
