Only game in town
I can’t live without my instant hot but the unit itself lasts about 2 years and the faucets maybe 3! :(

IF IT LASTS BEYOND WARRANTY I COULD UPGRADE IT BUT THIS IS #3
BOUGHT THIS ON AMAZON TO REPLACE LAST ONE THAT FAILED, this is the thrid one, first one lasted about 6years second about 5, temporarily replaced with singles only 25 buks each as sind had a hole avail when we vented dishwasher to drain elbow , singles never quit,. had plumber looking for one that wasnt 300-500 bucks he tried all his supplier and the said they all hated it, its the most hated fitting they run into, even sweetheart deals they were close to 300 so he said get it here(amazon) 280 he didnt wnat to burn up all his favors. the plumbing suppliers hate to break the news to customers and there is a widespread disdain for the cost and failure rate of this dispenser, pros seen to universally discourage it now after seeing its failure rate and cost it seems. ISE now warranties part for 5years , could never find warranty or papers on original or 1st replacement. nice unit that people desire but parts not readily available for repairs. if you have an odd fisnish you will pay a princely sum for it. we went down to less exhorbitant nickle finish. Also, dont loose any odball Y fittings as they are not included in box, plumber said he would make it work with T as parts were avail and didnt require a visit to a plumbing supplier. (no they wont likely have this fitting at lowes or HD but a T will do if you dont have a y from old one. looks and function new id give it a 4, track record a 1, cost a 1, serviceacability a 1, design a 3 and consumer friendliness a 2 overall a 3. so if you dont want to pay aprox 300-500 +plumber or DIY time get 2 singles. BTW the 1st ISE hot tank lasted us 6 years second of another brand is on about 7 now, there may not be a 4th but will keep warranty paperwork close on this one. ISE at least is monitoring comments now, suggestion , make repair parts available and include y fittings with new units . if you dont, someone will knock off this design in china and you will likely regret it.

Worked with seller to get a partial refund to cover a plumber to come fix the faucet
Worked well with the seller to find an amicable solution to the item arriving and not working well

Warranty is Useless
Nice valve. Unit died after two years with an issue that seems to be common (hot water valve not working). After a long troubleshooting call with Insinkerator, they told me the valve was frozen, that it was a warranty covered repair. So I removed the valve and took it to the authorized service center where they told me that I needed to re-install the valve and have them come out to my house. If they come out and decide it is not a warranty issue, then I will have to pay for the service call which will cost nearly as much as a new valve. You would think that Insinkerator would just allow returning the unit for repair/replacement. Anyway, I decided to disassemble and clean the valve and then it worked fine. In short, it would not have been a warranty repair. Update: I gave a poor review because of the warranty but I love the dispenser. It is tall, swivels, and has a locking cold water valve. Upping to 4 stars

Replaced the same after 14 years of use.
I just replaced the same unit after 14 years of use. Handles started leaking 12-13 years in but we just wiped up after using it. Finally replaced the above sink faucet and re-attached it to the existing water heater and filter. Simple enough fix but $355 just for the faucet, ouch! Well if I get another 14 years out of this one, I suppose that is OK. As far as function, our water is pretty good in western WA but we drink the filtered water which comes out as clean as any RO system I've used. The hot water is where the value is. Instant tea, oatmeal, cleaning greasy utensils or pans... we use it several times throughout the day. All-in-all worth the money.

Sure wish InSinkErator cared more about their quality. Read the other reviews and see if you want to do the fixes needed
I've had a number of InSinkErator instant units and you can generally expect about two years (average, I've had them last as little as 11 months). They aren't terribly expensive and I haven't been able to find another manufacturer that is building any better product in a residential line. This is probably why InSinkErator isn't motivated to put out a better quality of product. This particular item LOOKS like very fine quality, but alas, as others here have commented, it doesn't work too good sooner or later. Sure nuf---right out of the box, mine wouldn't hold a complete stop of cold water (drip, drip, drip). And, NO, I don't have high water pressure. Thankfully a number of others here have provided good instruction on how to disassemble and reassemble this product to fix the problem(s). This was a very pricey faucet and unfortunately that price isn't a fair indication of quality. Has anybody found a comparable product that is better quality??? I can't find any.

The faucet that exceeded my expectations
We had this faucet added to our kitchen remodel which finished about a month ago. I knew this was just the faucet when I purchased it. The tank is a separate item. The faucet works perfectly. Having the option for filtered cold water or filtered instant hot water has been an upgrade in our kitchen that I will now need to have in every place I live in going forward. It is without question the upgrade that gets used the most. The build quality is great. It's a solid faucet. We had a plumber come and install everything for us and he did a great job. I would recommend this faucet.

We love the unit
I have had this before and now have installed it in my new home. I was a little put off by the high price (about $450) especially so when I found belatedly that that did not include the boiler (another $400 or so). The plumbing and electrical work added about another $200 to the whole affair. We love the unit; but be advised that you are looking at around $1000 all up to have this appliance on your counter-top.

Works as advertised
Works great. East to install. Used this to replace an older model and replaced the heater tank at the same time. I purchased the digital insinkerator heater and they pair well. I have not had any dripping and I use it with an RO system. I installed a pressure tank to help keep this system properly pressurized. Very happy that I upgraded.

Very disappointed..
Ordered it, had it installed and it now leaks...continuously! Bought it as a replacement for the exact same one we have had for years. Tried everything as well as read the booklet on trouble shooting and nothing works. Buyer beware....it was brand new but said it had a slight smudge on the front of the faucet so I got it slightly cheaper. Very disappointed...It would cost us too much to send it back as we would have to have the plumber in again...SO what do I do?

No one reads the orders !
Unbelievable! Paid more than 600 for Satin Nickel and got Chrome instead! My tap is leaking and cannot be used plus have to reschedule my technician that was supposed to install it tomorrow morning and had to pay cancellation fees!
