Transform your jars into your new favorite on-the-go tea infuser! Our Tea Infuser lid is BPA free and made from recycled materials, especially designed to bring even more uses to your regular mouth mason jars (jar not included). We recommend using a 16 oz. jar for best use. When properly secured, the lid will provide you with a drip-free seal, allowing you to turn the jar over for better seeping. To use, apply force until lid snaps in. If you are having difficulty assembling, please run the band over hot water for 30-60 seconds and then try to snap in the JARWARE. Connect, brew, relax! It's as easy as that. Because, let's be honest, everything's better in a mason jar. #RaisingTheJar

Best option available, but not perfect.
Works with any regular-mouth mason jar. Much less mess than putting loose tea in the jar and then straining as you pour into a glass. Two slight downsides: the green plastic lid is a little thicker than a regular mason jar lid, so my metal rings won't screw down over it without cross-threading, making it fine for the fridge but not fine to, say, throw in a cooler and bring along, since it's not really securely sealed; and it only works if the jar is full right up to the top, because otherwise the intersection between the water and the tea leaves isn't enough to let them move around much. In a smaller jar (a pint or less) this wouldn't be an issue since you only need a couple of spoonfuls of tea leaves, but to make a quart or larger, I'm filling the infuser 1/3 or more with dry tea leaves, and then they swell when we and need even more room, so I really fill the water right to the jar neck, Not the best combo with the aforementioned lid seal issue. No catastrophes yet, but the potential is there. I was worried about the holes being too large and letting sediment out, but so far the teas I have used (leaves, nothing powdered) haven't produced any sediment at all. Of course, that also means the holes are small enough that surface tension is an issue when putting the infuser into the water, especially with such a full jar--I have to wait a couple of seconds for the water to flow through before letting the infuser all the way down into the jar, lest I cause a flood on the counter.

Snapped right into place. .
I got one of these today from an online retailer. The infuser cap is supposed to snap into the jar ring band. I tried it on a couple bands and the third one I tried it on snapped right on. I have pulled the infuser part off several times to test for the ring to break. So far so good. Hope it holds. Maybe when it heats up with hot water it may break. Will post an update if that happens.

Great!
I don’t use this as often as I did before, but it works great! The reason why I don’t use it as often is because I’m kind a clean freak and JarWare isn’t supposed to keep popping in and out of the jar ring... also because I really only use one Mason Jar and that ring gets used for my drink lid. While I did try and get more rings so I could switch them out without having to have a bunch of other jars, the band was too loose for the Infuser to snap into.

great aesthetic but not for tea brewing 'sticklers'
I love to drink loose leaf tea and I love to drink from mason jars. Though this product looks great, and works exactly as I should have expected it to, I guess I didn't think through the practicals of the design. I want to be able to pour hot water over the tea leaves so that they swirl and bloom. This product only allows the tea to be dunked into water - as if you had a cup of hot water and placed a tea bag into it. When the lid is not attached the steeper can not rest on the sides of the jar, and would ultimately sit too low in the jar to be attached to the lid after the water is poured. And it is difficult to raise and dip the steeper, as one would lift and dip a tea bag when it is attached to the lid. It looks cool, it's easy to clean, but I'm too particular about how I brew my tea to give a higher rating. But if that doesn't matter to you then this is a really great product.

Perfect Size
Perfect size for the amount of tea I drink in a day. Was concerned about the brewing but it comes out perfect everytime.

Hold it still
I guess this would work if it just sat quietly in the fridge, but carrying it in my lunchbox, it unwrapped and spilled tea leaves into the jar. Not helpful for me.

Nice tea infuser
I really like this tea infuser. It’s handy and useful. Wish I had one for a wide mouth jar. I have more small, wide mouth jars in my home than this size.

Handy!!
Also very useful as a micro strainer for many other things; juice, honey, cold coffee making.... The seal also works very well.

Complete and utter Garbage, do not waste your time
Three for THREE have failed and proven useless. 2 arrived already damaged and useless, 1 failed with a week. MAJOR Design flaw. The top cap is a plastic heat resistant cap, that has a silicone gasket rig that fits snugly on the inside of the metal tea strainer. This silicone gasket fits around a circular ring that is...separate piece from the top cap. It does not lock into place, it does not firmly attach to the top cap, infact I have no discernible way to keep it affixed and attached to the top cap. Even the slightest shake causes it to detach and dump its contents into the mason jar. Stupid, idiotic engineering failure rendering this product a complete load of crap. DO NOT BUY.
