Knock on Wood - It's Great

Is it unusual to have a Boos Block table like this in a home kitchen? I haven't seen many. It was a little bit hard to find, especially from a seller that did not add on a hefty freight shipping charge. But I fell in love with this type of table after seeing it at a wonderful bakery. I hope I can care for it properly and enjoy baking on it for many years. The table was delivered promptly, in a giant box, with some protective packaging inside. I unpacked the contents carefully and spent the afternoon putting the table together. The imperfect underside did not bother me since I was prepared for that after reading reviews for similar tables. The pre-drilled screw holes on two of the parts were slightly off. But I did not panic or drill. I started the screws off at a slight angle and slowly worked my way among each of them with the tool, which allowed them to go into the pre-drilled holes and eventually level out flat as intended, appearing not to damage or strain the wood or metal in any way. Another somewhat stressful challenge was taking the lower leg pieces off so that I could use caster wheels instead. Luckily another reviewer explained you have to really pull at them to get them off. What a relief it was when I got the last one off and easily fitted the wheels. I knew the table height would be higher than my counters with the wheels on and that is how I like it because I am tall. The wood top is quite heavy and definitely required both my husband and myself to turn upright after assembly. It feels very secure and level. I made sure to buy the Mystery Oil early before the table so I could apply it as soon as possible. The top and sides of my table appear to be in very good condition. This was a big purchase for me so I am relieved and happy it worked out well.

Great quality

I spent a lot time searching for an island / prep table . Decided to roll the dice on this model . Glad I did . If your comfortable with basic tools and are not intimidated with heavy parts . Assembly will be no problem. My wife and I completed in about 30- 40 minutes . It’s a heavy piece , which I wanted . Nice and stable . We have now had this in our kitchen for a few months . Holding up great . Good quality materials , nice height options . I’m tall so that helps . You’ll notice in the picture it’s high enough to place waist containers underneath. Get one !

Good table for the money

I bought the 48x33. Note it’s actually 48x36. Not sure why Amazon hasn’t fixed that. Anyways, it’s a nice table. I used it to seat 4 for dinner. If you need a table for 4, this is gonna work out well for you.

Missing parts

Very disappointed. We ordered this table in July, it arrived 6 weeks later with pieces missing. It can't be assembled, and weighs 90 lbs so can't be returned easily. Now it's it's sitting in pieces in our kitchen while we wait for amazon to figure out where we can get the pieces. We are trying to get the missing parts directly from the manufacturer, but haven't had any luck. Can't recommend buying, unless you want a stack of pieces in your kitchen instead of an island.
