Superior Tool. Expensive but worth it

I've just recently learned of Jonard tools. I purchased this and a cable stripper for a large project. I'm Thrilled with the performance of both items. Expensive but you get what you pay for! I expect I'll never have to replace these due to the superior quality+

Great product for the money

I do some work on golf carts most are electric I was using a bolt cutter to cut cable ends to replace the lug or build new cables. After using these I'm amazed at how much cleaner the cuts are. More than worth the money. Most cuts are on 6 or 4-gauge copper cable.

Tool quality, 5 star. Seller, 4 star. Tool appears used.

Package arrived on time as expected with prior shipping tags from digikey. Discoloration and wear on the jaws suggest this cutter was used. Advertised as "new". Aside from the used appearances, cutter has performed well. Have made 6+ cuts on 4/0, 4/0, 4/0, 2/0 SER AL cable and it cuts through each time smoothly with no damage to cutting surface. Release mechanism for opening jaws back up without cutting has not functioned, but has not been needed either. Handle spread makes it difficult to cut one handed on the SER cable once the jaws have bit in, but 2 hand operation for a couple of ratchets is easily achievable.

La compré por qué usaba unas iguales en el trabajo

Cortan muy bien incluso alambre de acero sse que no es para eso, pero en ocasiones nos tocó en el trabajo, aun que esté daña el filo, lo mejor s usarlo para metales más blandos, pero en general funcionan muy bien

Not exactly as shown in product photo

Product photo shows a solid cast iron / steel frame - one piece with machined cutting blades. Actual is a molded / stamped steel frame with riveted-on chrome vanadium steel blades with a swivel locking latch. Otherwise, specs are similar and cuts nice.

Work Great

They work great just like all the tools from Jonard I’ve got in last few months, only fiber opt tool I still need to buy is the fiber cleaver. Just the cost seems alittle high, so will be saving alittle first. Stripper and cutters both are great .

worked for me

I am a carpenter so I am picky about my tools. So since this unit was more reasonably priced than bigger name brands I was somewhat leery, but, No Fear. This cutter works well and cuts 2 gauge copper wire cleanly.

Ok for one or two cuts - invest in a better pliers

Price was good. I bought these to cut some 6/3 NMD cable. From other reviews I was expecting these to cut through it like butter....it was anything but....although I did get through it you might want to spend the extra money on a good pair that requires less effort.
