Nice reach, unnecessary frills
Great reach for getting way out over red iron and things like that. It friction locks and I have had it collapse more than once. For a couple cables it's fine, but it will collapse pretty quickly with a lot of weight attached. Also, I had to modify mine a little bit to make my life easier. It has two metal loops for the carrying strap and they will catch on ceiling grid, red iron, etc, which is pretty annoying. Broke those off and it's fine now. Not as big of a game changer as the cable pulleys, but still pretty great for those long runs with just a few cables.

A must for running cable
My review of this boils down to a simple question for you: Do you want to save time or not? Whether it's to avoid crawling under a mobile home or pulling cable across a drop tile ceiling, this gets the job done faster and with less effort. For those of us in the business, it pays for itself. You *can* use glow rods, sure. But thin flimsy rods bend excessively and disconnect. This pole does not. The K hook attachment also let's you attach line to higher places without having to necessarily grab your ladder. Allowing you to work from the ground longer. So again, I ask: Do you want to save time or not?

Cheaply made
It broke very quickly the only thing holding the rods in place are little pieces if plastic on the inside.

Very low quality
The quality of this item is very low, they could not have saved 1 penny producing it. At the $110 price it's an outrage. I will not buy Jonard products anymore, they got me good paying for this POS. Mine did come with 2 accessory tips, some reviews have complained they were missing. The small pouch that holds the accessory tips is a joke, such low quality I'm afraid to use it as it makes me nervous it will fall apart and I'll lose the tips inside. Every part used to make this item, from the strap, to the little pieces that hold the strap on, the "aluminum" end pieces on both ends, to the foam "cork" that keeps the poles from sliding out....everything has such a low quality build and feel to it. When you extend the poles you are knocked back by the smell of spray paint. No high quality powder coat paint finish here... There are scratches and blemishes all over the extension poles, not a huge deal as I will probably put them there myself after using the product a few times, but it's discerning to see this on a "new" product I just purchased. The pole is lightweight when fully extended, and I do like the fact it has interchangeable tips. The "K" tip seems like it might be useful to me. I will probably keep this item because the different tips fit my needs but if you want quality buy the Greenlee version. I have that one also and it's a lot better made.

Tough and rugged
Product has a nice rugged feel and the carry strap is very handy. I was hesitant to buy due to the price, but it’s worth every penny and then some. Great Jonard quality product once again!

Just as described. Wish it could be used not fully extended.
