Never thought I would have an opinion about jump ropes until I saw my 8 yr old struggle (at 7 yrs old) with a cheap, light jump rope. I knew I needed something with weight and recalled these types of jump ropes in school, from my youth. The actual rope is PERFECT. Adds weight and actually makes it easier for a young person to learn to jump rope. Good exercise for indoors - we are in Chicago so the cold (combined with an urban/suburban environment) can limit our activities in winter. Highly recommend this product. Also great for adults who want to get in shape -- I have used her jump rope without her knowledge and it really is a good one - this size worked for her and for me (4 1/2 feet and 5 feet 9).

it's a jumprope!

I picked this jump rope for it's design! it's the kind i always favored as a kid. my daughter wanted one so i was happy to find these. you don't want one that curls up or is too light to go over your head properly, and these handles rotate. The reason for the 4 is because we had to reattach one of the handles. Otherwise perfect product.

good enough

we've had this for a month and it's broken on the handles already, but then it was very cheap so I think the price and quality are fairly compatible. My five-year-old daughter uses it, but it is a little long for her and she has to roll it up on the handles. You can figure out how 7 feet works for you based on your height.

great jump rope

Love these kind of jump ropes, remember them from years ago when I went to school, they're so much fun. Check walmart and toys r us they just had the cheap rope kind, I was looking for something that weighs down the rope that way my girls can jump better and faster instead of tripping or messing up cause the rope to slow and catches the wind. Found just what I wanted here, good price and more fun then just the cheap rope, and very colorful with the beads none of them broke on me or my daughters.

Cheaply made but kid enjoys it

The rope is showing (no plastic beads) on one side... Approximately a foot in length. Doesn't affect usage and my daughter enjoys it, so we kept it. Other than that, it's a cheap kids jump rope so I wasn't expecting much for my money. At least it hasn't broken yet after 3 months of being used sparingly.

Happy hopper!

We are happy with this little jump rope! My daughter and I love that it is pink. We bought two- one to keep at home and one to keep at school. She says that there aren't enough jump ropes at school and they have to wait for their turn. Now no longer! She is one happy hopper! As another buyer stated, it does have about 9" of rope exposed without beads, but it in no way impedes the way it performs. We love it.

Very Nice Jump Rope

Nice length. The ROPE measures 7 feet, Not including the handles. That makes it 8ft over all. PERFECT for anyone 4' to 5'2" tall. The beads look abit smaller than the jump ropes at school but look sturdy and it performs well when jumping. Nice handles also. I made the mistake of ordering a 8ft rope from another company, thinking the rope would be 8ft not including the handles, wrong. It's the same size as this one. It'd be nice if you knew how they were measuring them.

It makes too much noise when hitting the floor and also I have wood floors so I think that eventually it would destroy them. But more importantly my daughter got really hurt on her toes because its not a soft material.

nice looking but didn't hold up well

The first time my 6 year old daughter used this skipping rope on the pavement at the park, it fell apart. There were little bits of plastic everywhere. It would be fine if only planning on using it on grass or carpet but hard surfaces are a no go.

Not worth it. Broke first use.

I gave this Item to my daughter for Easter this past Sunday she used it once and all the plastic beads broke and flew off a least a half dozen or more. I'm so disappointed in the quality of this product. I remember these as kids and they lasted forever! This one will soon be garbage. Very disappointed

Poor Quality - Breaks easily.

Really disappointed with the quality of this jump rope. We received it in the mail in the morning, and it broke within an hour of the kids using it for it’s intended purpose. Wouldn’t recommend.
