Good but missing/incorrect hardware.

First off the mount fits great and is very well built. It works as described and looks good on the front of my 2002 Sportsman. However I received the mount and tore apart the front of my ATV only to find that the mount I received did not have the correct hardware included with it. I called KFI directly and an actual person answered the phone, which was nice. This was Wednesday December 30th. I asked for the missing parts to be sent overnight to me. KFI could not because of the holiday and was assured that I would receive the missing hardware Friday 1/1 or Saturday 1/2. I was told that I could get the parts at the local hardware store to get my ATV back together. I gave KFI CS my home address so they could send me the missing hardware and then spent $9 at my local hardware store. It is now Tuesday 1/5 and I still have not received my missing hardware. ***Update: I received missing hardware on 1/6. so changed review to 4 stars. I would give this mount 5 stars as it was easy to install and good quality.

Very tight and difficult fit but solid.

Had to make some adjustments in order to install on my Polaris Sportsman 500. Width of bracket was very tight. Took a long time to mount but seems to be solid and functional.

Rugged mount, issue with centering 3500 lb winch.

Rugged mount, well made. Mounted on my 99 Polaris Sportsman perfectly. I used it to mount a Badland 3500 lb. winch. To fit the winch within the sides of the mount, the winch spool is not centered on the machine or within the mount. Installing the mount upside down is not feasible for my situation. Mounting the winch under the mount may work for centering but this is not feasible in my case as it would interfere with my snow plow mount. The spool being off center could strain one side of the 4 wheeler more than the other. It's not a big deal for me as 98% of my winch work is lifting the snow plow.

Rugged!

I paired this mount with a Badlands 3500lb winch on my 2002 Polaris 325 Magnum 4x4. Mount lined up perfectly with the holes in the ATV frame and the winch lined up perfectly with the holes in the mount making installation a breeze. My concern about the ruggedness was put to rest a couple days ago. While out clearing snowmobile trails a friend drove his Kubota B7500 tractor down a very steep pitch on the trail and couldn’t come back up. We chained my ATV off to a tree, stretched the winch cable out to him and pulled him up like a champ. The mount held up well!
