Easy and Dependable

This is a solid, great unit. It was very easy to install and the directions were terrific. I've owned two in the past and found this model to be dependable and trustworthy. No issues. Great price.

Hopefully the battery will last

Appreciate the voice and audio alert, however the alarm I received has a date code indicating it has been on a shelf for two years. Hopefully I'll get the full 10 years of reliable use past the date I installed this alarm.

With this alarm you get two, fire/smoke and carbon monoxide. This is a repeat purchase since my last one expired after 10 years.

These are Underwriter Lab approved

I considered other products that are fancier, wifi connected etc but only Kidde was UL approved so I chose it. This could be important if your insurance/inspector wants you to have about detectors: get approved ones.

Bought after my wired alarms stopped working and my alarm company would not respond.

I bought these when a wired in alarm about 14 feet up a wall started sounding off. At my age, I didn't dare try to get there up a ladder.
