Don’t waste your money. The other reviews must have been paid for, because this light can barely light the way on my early morning walks. I got this light to hook on my dog’s leash for 5am walks in the dark. The carabiner style hook is ok, it’s bulky, thick and doesn’t want to stay shut. The lights are dim, there is more light output from my cell phone screen. Initially I thought the batteries received in the light were junk, but still no improvement when I switched to new energizer max batteries. One reviewer said this light was sturdy and survived a throw and missed catch. Hard to believe, this not a indestructible quality product, I have used it maybe a dozen times and the “hook” part will not stay locked, no way this would survive being dropped off anything taller than chair height. The only plus is the magnets, but with zero light output, what would I really do with the magnets. I have switched to a $1 mini flashlight from the dollar store, much brighter, cheaper, and I don’t feel bad wasting a buck vs $10.

I've had this thing for ages and it still works great. It's been dropped, thrown (someone was meant to catch it but didnt), once fell off my second story balcony, and even got stepped on a few times (ouch, by the way). I'm convinced this thing is indestructible. The light dims a bit when the battery starts to die, which actually works as a good warning- you always know when to buy new batteries. The only weird part is that it takes just 3 batteries, and can be a little difficult to load up with batteries...

These are so handy!! Great light, magnets make it hands free, and the carabiner allows even more freedom for use!
