The bowling pins are more like for a 1 year old or 2 year old.

The pins are nice and heavy, but the bowling balls are more like for a little kid. it would be perfect if the bowling balls were a lot bigger.

Great indoor game during initial phase of the COVID-19 pandemic

Super fun family game when it's too cold to get out or, say, when a pandemic forces you to stay at home with your family for weeks on end. My 3 y/o son had a blast with it and quite frankly, it's fun for all ages, especially if you have a long hallway to make it more challenging to hit the pins.

Where is the quality control?

The good, forgiving guy in me wanted to let this slide, -I really did- but the woodworker in me who values quality control and craftsmanship did not. The products being sold are simply not as advertised. What's being sold appears to be used products and/or low quality wood and workmanship -you decide. The photos I'm showing are products that I received which were dented and chipped. The bowling ball holes don't appear to be sanded at all either which can be hazardous for any young person playing. All in all this product is a great idea with a poor execution. The sizing of these wood pins are very unique which is marketable and appealed to me greatly. What I got was a unfinished or used product that requires a few more hours of woodworking to be of desired sellable quality.

The children loved them so much that when my other daughter children ...

I bought these for my daughters 3 children to play with outside for Christmas. The children loved them so much that when my other daughter children was there they started playing with them which now I have to buy another set. This item was a better quality than I expected and like I had stated. All 5 of my grandchildren loves it. Would highly recommend this product.

while it is an inexpensive set, but the balls are much smaller than the product description. Which is unfortunate because one of the most important thing is to have balls heavy enough to knock down the pins. You don't want the kids to slam the ball at the pins in order to get a strike. This is not baseball. smaller balls + cheap wood = very light weight. another thing, which is fine if you are just looking for a cheap set to enjoy by yourselves, is that the actual wood is not as good as what the product photos are showing. These photos are misleading. And this might be a problem if you are gifting it to someone. It is not good wood with clear varnish. It is pretty low grade wood covered with a semi translucent wood color finishing or something. And you can still see all the discoloration, knots and bruises underneath. this set is not for me, but your needs might be different.
