Built to last season after season, the Jerky Cannon features an anodized aluminum barrel that is flared at both ends to make loading meat and inserting the piston easy. Piston is made of heavy-duty plastic with a stainless-steel rod and a plastic-coated steel handle for reliability. Includes two stainless steel nozzles (1-3/16” x 3/16" flat jerky nozzle and 1/2" ID round snack stick nozzle) that attach quickly with a half turn of the retaining ring. Also includes two bags of Backwoods Seasonings, Original Jerky & Snack Stick, enough for making 5 pounds of each. The included, nylon brush makes cleaning the barrel a breeze. Cool Product!!

This is a really cool way to get a consistent product. I used it for the 1st time a few weeks ago and can't wait to use it again! I have a smoker and love smoking meats. I have made jerky on my Green Mountain smoker a handful of times. However, I just have been free hand cutting meat into strips. NO MORE!!! I will now grind all meat marinate season (rest) re-grind on smaller dye...then fill cannon!!! 1st time using results were near perfect!!! I also just purchased the barrel stuffer. I can't wait to use this b/c it has to be better than the end of a wooden spoon which is what I used initially.

My old gun broke

Needed to replace my old gun. I choose this one. So far I have no complaints.

Very sturdy and smooth even meat distribution

Using it to make beef jerky round and flat sticks as well as for making round breakfast sausage links. Creates a very smooth even slow distribution of meat. Seems really sturdy (I upgraded from a tiny cheap plastic one that broke) Fairly easy to clean with a toothbrush and provided brush. My only wish would be a 3 or 5lb version.

Squirts meat as stated

I used it, it worked, I will use it again. Works WAAAY better if you lube the internals with food grade mineral oil.

Great tool for the jerky addict

It is easy to use and comes completely apart for easy cleaning. It’s easy to use as long as your ground meat isn’t too stiff. We used the included spice packs, which here a bit bland for our taste, but the whole process worked really well. Cleaning is a bit of work but you can take the whole gun apart so it can be easily washed, rinsed, and sanitized manually. We prefer the manual method because then we know it is clean. Safety first. The unit feels very sturdy and the collars which are plastic go on and off easily. If you squeeze the trigger and it feels really hard, your meat mix is wrong.

Don’t be fooled by the photos

Read the text. You don’t get the cool attachments like in the photos advertising the product. You only get the round extruder and flat extruder. I’m disappointed, but the text description is accurate, so buyer beware I guess.

works great

the reason for the 4 star is the fact that the tips are a bit of a pain to get clean, I use cotton swabs and paper towels, but this is still a pain. it would be nice if LEM could include a couple of small cleaning brushes to fit the ends such as the large one for the cannon itself. spend the extra money and get this metal one over the cheaper plastic ones, I use this all the time, love it.

Like it

Used once for beef jerky. It was delicious. My first batch was extra lean beef. It worked well. I felt the recipe with provided seasoning was a little too salty for my preference, but it was on par with good commercial jerky. Seems like it will be durable and good quality.

Works great!

Works great, simple and easy to use. Feels very durable and easy to clean. I got this for making snack sticks, so much easier and quicker than having to stuff casings.
