Lenox MetalMax is the new standard for metal cutting abrasives. Breakthrough diamond technology delivers 1,000 or more cuts (30 times longer life than thin bonded cutoff wheels)* without sacrificing speed or finish. Made of solid steel to greatly reduce the risk of breakage, the combination of a steel body with a diamond edge allows MetalMax to hold its original wheel diameter until the last cut, meaning better control, reach, and cut precision throughout the wheel life. The enhanced design substantially reduces dust particles and lessens odor. Lenox MetalMax is suitable for metal cutting applications including steel, sheet metal, stainless steel, rebar, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and works at the same speeds and feeds as thin bonded abrasive wheels.

If you don’t like this tool, you have the wrong grinder
I noticed comments like excessive flash, slow cutting speeds and excessive noise. I experienced none of this. I believe it is because people are using inexpensive, low amperage grinders from home improvement stores or import retailers. I mounted mine on a 13 amp Dewalt professional grinder and it works every bit as well as I had hoped. Lower amperage grinders lose a lot of rpm under load and kill the performance of anything that you put on it. Even if you don’t buy this cutoff wheel, I highly recommend that you invest a good, professional high amp grinder. I guarantee that you will be amazed at the difference.

Far better than fiber discs
So much better than using fiber discs; much cleaner, doesn’t wear down, & doesn’t shatter. I would like it to last longer but I continue to purchase them & still happy.

Best buy!!
100 times better than fiber cut off wheels. Get a little crooked on fiber wheel it's done, this wheel can handle it.

Good product
Works great! Cuts through 3 inch trees without any problems. Only drawback is that the teeth are set such that the mounting disk is in the way when sharpening.

Runs cleaner and longer than the regular abrasives. Safer and probably cheaper too in the long run.
Hi have various sizes of this blade for all my power tools. I have yet to replace a single Lenox blade. They seem to last forever.

Expensive but good!
I am a long time user of Lenox METALMAX Diamond Edge Cutoff Wheel, Of course it wears as you keep cutting but way less than any other tool I tried. Definately worth spending more to get that result

Cut well,while it lasted
Got bound up while cutting and immediately warped and became unusable. Other diamond blades I use have gotten stuck several times without destroying themselves.

light gauge steel only
It works but cuts to slow on heavy gauge steel like 1/8" .needs more bite to be faster. regular zip discs cut twice as fast.
