Vibrates more than abrasive blade.

The five "teeth" make it noisier and vibrate more when cutting than an abrasive blade. I have not used it enough to comment on longevity.

Good product overall.

I got this so i didnt have to change cutting wheels on my die grinder so often. It's the normal corded dewalt end grinder. I dont believe it has enough amps to effectively use this wheel. It's a shame because metalmax is a good product and i'm sure it works well for others, or even more powerful die grinders. Probably could still be useful on small cuts or notching.

Lasts a very long time

This cutting wheel lasts a very long time. Have used this on mild steel sheets, rebar, cutting old welds, and a little bit of aluminum. The cuts are a little wider than a typical cut off wheel, but has so far out lasted them. The amount of dust generated has also dropped significantly. No damage to the blade so far and should continue to last a long time. Pros: Well balanced. Doesn't cause the die grinder to shake much at all Less dust from cutting Long lasting Saves time not having to change out wheel Cons: Has more bit to it, so more care when starting a cut is needed

Takes flight in a Rotozip- taking the whole Direct Drive attachment with it!

Even though it fit my Rotozip, it causes the Direct Drive attachment to come off the tool and fly around the room even when it is as tight as you can get it. I think it has something to do with the aerodynamics because it flies around fast, then hovers like a little helicopter and, as it slows down, drops to a gentle landing. I tried three times to get it to stay on the tool and finally, fearing for my life, gave up. Guess it just doesn't want to work with a Rotozip but seeing it fail looked both really cool and really terrifying. Back to ceramic cut-off wheels for me.

Extremely durable and capable cutting wheel

I use it on my Milwaukee hand held 12V cutting tool. This wheel makes it easy to cut conduit from 1/2" - 1" quite efficiently. I really like what this does to expand the use of the Milwaukee tool. Really tough and durable, lasts a long time in use. On softer materials, copper, plastic, etc. works very well.

Name brand performance

I bought this diamond cutter wheel for cutting sheet metal on some bodywork. But, I needed to section the outer race on a failed roller bearing. The cutter was already in the cut off tool, so even with the reviews that said this wheel couldn't cut itself out of a wet paper sack, I gave it a shot.I don't know if my technique is better, but this wheel cut through the hardened bearing race like it was butter. The Lenox hole saws and utility knife blades have always done well by me. This blade is no exception.

Very durable, cuts mild steel well

great blade for light duty cutting, aluminum, stainless, mild steel all cut like butter and the blade has stayed sharp for the few dozen cuts I've done. Price is similar to that of a pack of other cut off wheels, not changing wheels is convenient enough to go with this over others. Don't use it on hardened steel or any hybrid steels as it will dull within a few inches. Not really the purpose and a torch should be used for these cuts but this is what I had on hand and this use case should be avoided.

Okay

Not as good a the lower rpm 4 1/2" wheel for angle grinder. Lasts longer if the rpm is kept well under 20k.
