Once installed, renu gfci outlets can be updated to a new Color by ordering an RKG20 Color change kit. Status indicator light provides simple, intuitive feedback on power and protection status as well as indication of line/load reversal. Provides continuous ground fault protection - detects and trips on ACTUAL ground fault even when self-test is being conducted. Compatible with Leviton Renu wallplate REWP1/REWP2/REWP3/REWP4 and Renu color change kits only. For an added layer of protection, the GFCI regularly conducts an automatic internal test to confirm that it can respond to a ground fault.

Blue GFI Plug

We remodeled our kitchen and the island required a gfi plug. Since the island is blue, we were very happy to find this item. It matched pretty good (impossible for an exact match). The plug arrived quickly and it looks/works great.

Designer Appearance, High Quality and Easy to Install

We have been updating our kitchen over the last few months doing most of the installs ourselves. After having the new quartz countertop installed I spent a few days tiling between the cabinets and countertop - turned out great. I chose a navy/denim blue subway tile, but hadn't considered the outlets and once I finished I didn't want the outlets to ruin the new look. There are 5 outlet boxes in this relatively small area and not perfectly in line around the three walls. I had only seen outlets and covers in a handful of colors. Initially I thought I'd paint them navy, but when I searched on Amazon for paintable covers the Leviton Renu products were included - THANK YOU AMAZON! There were several colors to choose from and "rich navy" was one. The cost was equivalent to similar products at Lowe's and Home Depot. They arrived in a couple days. My husband installed (7 switches and outlets in all) everything in about 35 minutes. All work perfectly and blend into the tile seamlessly. Leviton Renu colored surfaces snap on and are also interchangeable if you change your wall colors. My husband and I are amazed at the difference this unexpected find made and we highly recommend this product line.

Odd Size; Doesn't Fit Standard Covers

Looks like a high quality unit. However, it is wider than a standard outlet and therefore didn't fit our face plates. In most instances it would be easy enough to get a different size face plate. In our case, we have a older home and very few face plates match the period style of our home. Therefore, we had to return this unit.

Matches all other Renu devices, but expensive and LED way too bright

It's a regular GFCI outlet so nothing outstanding about it. Pros : - Matches all my Renu outlets and switches - Was easy to install - White statut LED Cons : - Overpriced (50% more expensive than standard GFCI white outlet) - White status LED is way too bright. I had to put two layers of white electrical tape on the white LED because it's way too bright when watching my TV (the outlet is just a few feet away from my TV).
