Watch out for airplane pressure
I used this all over Scotland. I felt like it didn’t hold as much water as similar water bottles this size, but it was handy. I did discover the hard way, that bringing a full water bottle on the plane was a mistake. (Sadly, the bathroom sinks in the lavatory are not deep enough to fill this bottle. ) When I tried to take a sip for the bottle after take-off, the darn water exploded from the top, like a water fountain. It went all over my lap and the floor, before I could stop it. Thankfully, I had a waterproof coat on and fast drying pants. Otherwise I would have been soaking wet. It does serve its purpose to eliminate purchasing plastic water bottles when traveling.

Good for what it is, cracked immediately
The filter and instructions for this bottle are great, and you still get a lot of water per fill even with the large filter. However, the first time I dropped the bottle it cracked the mouthpiece immediatlely, so it's currently unusable while I wait for the tops to be restocked. I feel like the bottle should be more durable if it breaks immediately, water bottles are gonna go through it on hiking trips and just general use so that's my mark against it.

Great bottle, just don't drop it
So I read reviews on leaking being a problem but I've had life straw water bottles in the past I never had an issue with so I figured I would give this one a chance. It did great, and I used it in many streams and creeks. It even filters alot of the nasty taste of the water. I did drop it while working on the trail one day pretty hard and now the bottle seems to push my water up through the straw. I've tried messing with the filter and different methods but it still leaks quite regularly. Not a big deal when you work in the woods but it's not fun getting a wet back pack all the time.

Works well!
We took it with us to Europe. We plan on taking it with us whenever we travel. My daughter really, really wishes they had it in Mexico.

Good. Filter bottle on the go
Bought to have access to clean and. Safe water. On the go without have to constantly buying water. Was debating on size but 650ml size bottle is great, not too big nor small. It takes effort to suck water but not too difficult. Just one thing to be aware of; the filters - there are two parts to the filters: a membrane filter rated for 1000gallon and activated carbon filter rated for ONLY 26 gallons. Good news is you can buy and replace activated carbon filter separately from membrane filter but find this really odd. The company doesn’t clearly advertise this fact and feel bit misleading. But for the benefit I’m going to keep the bottle and just buy extra filters.

Peace of mind
Provided peace of mind while traveling in South America. But pretty heavy to lug around because of the filter. And filter only works when you drink thru the straw. Cant pour filtered water out, because water only gets filtered when you pull out via the straw. Didn’t get sick on my trip.

Started to leak after 2 weeks...
When the bottle was working it was great - no difficulty drinking and water tasted great. However, it began to leak after 2 weeks of moderate use. The leak was from the air inlet valve and so unless the bottle was kept upright it was of no use. Returned for a refund.

Unexpectedly started leaking A LOT
The media could not be loaded. We have been using the Lifestraw Go in India for the past two weeks. We followed the set-up instructions to the letter and have treated the bottle perfectly as we are anxious that it works properly and we don't get ill. Inexplicably, the bottle unexpectedly started leaking today. Everything in our backpack was wet. We removed the bottle, checked everything was seated and screwed correctly and discovered that it has just decided to leak heavily now for no reason. It's a real shame because we definitely won't feel comfortable trusting it if it can't even hold water properly anymore. It was a decent bottle beforehand - slightly hard to drink from (you have to suck quite hard to drink a lot in a hurry) but worth it for the water safety. To make matters worse, our return window with Amazon is closed - we felt that was way to short a window considering we bought it about 3 weeks before our trip started so that we werent in a rush. Barely any time to test the bottle in real use scenarios before we found out it was flawed! I'd think twice before purchasing a Lifestraw product again for that reason.

Leaks!
Purchased in preparation to travel to rural Asia. After 10 days of use whilst abroad started to leak through the valve contaminating the mouthpiece with dirty water. Very disappointing
