The best coat I have ever owned.
First thing's first. By it a size smaller than what you would normally wear. This thing is great. I am very picky when it comes to jackets, and was very surprised by how much I love this coat. With the liner installed it is very warm. I live in the sticks of northern Michigan and winters can get brutal. Normally I freeze my butt off, but not this year. The best part is, with the crazy weather we've been having (2 degrees one day, 56 degrees the next) it's easy to remove and re-install the liner. It's takes only a minute or so to do so. That way you no longer have to juggle with a heavy winter jacket and a light fall jacket. You have 'em both... in the same coat! The hood ain't winning any awards. It's not meant to keep you warm. It's more like camoflauge for your cranium. The coat looks great too. I get many compliments on it. I have but two real problems with this coat. Both of which aren't even bad, just minor personal gripes. 1) No inside pocket. I love 'em, this coat lacks 'em. Though it makes sense, what with the liner cutting off access to such a feature. 2) Animal magnet. This thing attracts hair like there's no tomorrow. You know those articles of clothing animals just love? The ones that no matter where you put them, your dog or cat finds them and feels the urge to sleep on it? Yeah, this is that coat. It's like bacon wrapped cat-nip. All in all, fantastic coat. I hesitated for two months before I made my purchase. Glad I got it when I did. Had I waited any longer, I would have bought yet another dissapointing coat as oppossed to this one. (I'm not great with reviews. Hope this helped.)

A durable, warm, and stylish coat
This is a great jacket for all seasons. Look at the picture available on other sites for a better picture, without the dorky looking guy wearing it. It definitely doesnt seem like it is going to be falling apart anytime soon, but i would spring for a Propper or Alpha if i was going to be depending on it for survival. Sizing-wise, research all you can about the appropriate size for you if you cant try it on before buying it. If you plan on wearing several layers underneath, you can probably get whatever size you normally would. However if it is your main coat pretty much, you may want to get it a size or two smaller. I am 5'11" 175 lbs, and normally wear a Large or sometimes XL size coat. I got this coat in a Medium and it fits well. I goes down to just about past the bottoms of my back pockets. You can comfortably wear an undershirt, a t-shirt, a fleece/sweatshirt, underneath the jacket and liner. If i replace the fleece with this thick (as in thick as a winter coat) vest that i have, it feels too tight and uncomfortable. Functionally I could have gotten away with a large, but the medium probably "looks nicer". If you are bigger than 5'11" 175Lbs, you probably should get a large. Any smaller and a medium should be good, unless you are way smaller, then in that case i dont know. While there are higher quality (and more expensive) M65 jackets available, all in all, this is one hell of a coat for only around $50.
